There isn't anything in the fuel rail. And the other thing is the solenoid valve for the acoustic flap which has obviously been disconnected. ( the solenoid is still there to stop the car flagging a fault code)

Injector. Remove the plugs and see which one is black and carboned up. That's which cylinder has the fault

You will need to re calibrate it. The modus should be able to do it.

Probably the ecu tamper cover rubbed through on the loom at the back. That or a faulty engine wiring loom (the one across the top of the gearbox.)

0.16 amps? If it is then that's excessive. Should be below 0.06 amps. Are you checking the current draw on the negative side of the battery?

It's obviously all down to the tester at the end of the day. I'm pretty hard on them as a rule. Never looks good with a broken spring!

You'd never know with guessing I'm afraid. But if I was a betting man, my money would be on the coolant temperature sensor giving false readings.

What mick said, they are virgin keys on your age of Clio. (they are sold blank) they are around £100. Sounds like they have included programming time.

It's not just a fault code that needs clearing. It's the actual memorised throttle stops. (the memorised electrical positions of shut and fully open)

Broken spring is not an automatic fail anymore. If its broken at an extreme end and sits in the cup ok, it's an advise.

It's water in the switch you are talking about. Seen it a few times.

I think the washer pumps are genuine only :(

Surely you would check the bulbs before the test?!
