I havent noticed that particular problem but i have noticed that if I leave my handbrake on and dont drive it for a few days it sticks. I rev a bit harder and then it unsticks and doesnt cause any more problems.

Its good to know that although people moan about the build quality of these cars they seem to last pretty well!! Ive only managed 11.5k since November 03, thats to work and back each day and a bit of leisure. Only rattle I got is the seat that reno fixed. :D

Im just intrigued as Im sure most people assume that rich parents pay for younger peoples cars. I always want people to realise that I bought my own 172 at 21 but Im sure people think my parents paid. Thats handy with working at a dealership so free insurance on anything cant be bad.

Maybe Im mistaken but I know it wasnt the standard 95 RON unleaded so I stuck with Optimax. I believe BP do some kind of ultra petrol that 97 or 98?!?!?!

I always go for Optimax think Ive only ever gone for something else about twice since I owned the car so dont know if it would hinder performance if not. Does actually say on the inside of the petrol cap 98 RON.. Isnt Optimax supposed to be good at keeping your engine cleaner and all that?!?!?

Doesnt it really depend on what kind of driving your doing. My missus drives mostly motorways and she has accumulated quite a few stone chips. My motor has only been on the motorway a handful of times and has about 3 which you wouldnt notice unless youre anally retentive like me lol!!

You can get a set of custom mats with whatever design you want for abour £60, the dealers are alsways over priced. Best thing I found was to get metal chequerplate floor mats anyway!!

To a certain extent do people reckon they treat their cars more harshly than they used too as they expect it to be more solid than it is?!?!?!? I only ask as I treat my 172 pretty gently as far as the interior goes and I propably have one rattle. The squeaky seat was caused by Renault anyway...

I have always assisted with cleaning the missus car but dont regularly do it. Last weekend I cleaned the Clio and spent about an hour polishing it. Then the missus came home so WE cleaner her ZS and polished that as well.

That looks wicked mate! Loving the front looks well mean. A lot of hard work and cash Im sure but definately looks worth it!!
