Does look a bit suspect but that first pic looks pretty genuine. Not sure myself.
Have seen the Audi one with the car lying in two pieces. As far as Im aware that was real, read about it in a magazine a while back, driver was killed but apparently driving at ridiculous speed!
One of the most Euro style rims on a car thats trying to look like an extra from the Fast and the Furious.
I really think those big bolted on wings look poo on most cars!!
I havent noticed that particular problem but i have noticed that if I leave my handbrake on and dont drive it for a few days it sticks. I rev a bit harder and then it unsticks and doesnt cause any more problems.
Ive seen the black cover which looks black until the brake light comes on then it just light up with Clio. The Chrome ones must look really shat!!
To be honest it looks a bit naff and I wouldnt buy one but have seen a couple of good attempts at this on a couple of Fords!

Its a novel idea but to be fair its not really gonna happen, perhaps for a much smaller sum than £12k!! That seems a bit steep to advertise on a Clio haha
Ok, maybe a Lambo but not a Clio! lol :o
First car right the way back in 2000 was an L reg 1.2 Oasis!!
For some reason I always had a fondness of Clios over all the other cars in the same bracket such as Fiestas, 106s etc.
Wasnt slow but handled well and was fooking louded after chucking 2 amps, Pioneer Sub, 6x9s and...
The V6 is more of a rare car and also being so different from the average clio people treat it like its own model of car.
The williams/16v/172/182 looks like a modified standard clio and therefore attracts the kind of chavs who want to do the same to their rusty nova or escort so they feel the...
How about the Seat Leon Cupra, the 225bhp version is pretty cool and rather rapid.
I would have thought the Focus RS will come down in price in 12 months what with the release of the knew shape Focus and no doubt a knew RS/ST one.
There is a definately a type of little chav who wants a modded car himself but rather than admire a better car would rather try and out drive you!!
I do actually read Max Power so dont think its fair to lump all modifiers together. But there is a definately an element of pikey scum with their...
Its good to know that although people moan about the build quality of these cars they seem to last pretty well!!
Ive only managed 11.5k since November 03, thats to work and back each day and a bit of leisure. Only rattle I got is the seat that reno fixed. :D
Just wondered whose done the highest mileage in a 172 or 182 and how well is it holding up??
Only interested as so many people moan about rattles etc but I wondered how they are after say 70-80k???
I think it helps living at home and lets face it, its a bit of a dream come true to be a able to buy a motor like a 172/182/Williams for most young people.
LuckilyIve got a job that allows me to buy my car and am currently saving for a mortgage. Have still told my missus Im still having a...
Im just intrigued as Im sure most people assume that rich parents pay for younger peoples cars. I always want people to realise that I bought my own 172 at 21 but Im sure people think my parents paid.
Thats handy with working at a dealership so free insurance on anything cant be bad.
I personally like the first pic!! The OZs look cool but have never been one of my favourite designs, I like the black and polished face of the first wheels.
They go really well with the styling of your motor as well!
Does make you wonder how they afford these things when if they cant dress themselves or speak properly they are not gonna be able to get a decent enought job to pay for it themselves!!
Thats what rich mummies and daddies do for their kids. Can you imagine the insurance for that 18 year old on...
Maybe Im mistaken but I know it wasnt the standard 95 RON unleaded so I stuck with Optimax.
I believe BP do some kind of ultra petrol that 97 or 98?!?!?!
I always go for Optimax think Ive only ever gone for something else about twice since I owned the car so dont know if it would hinder performance if not.
Does actually say on the inside of the petrol cap 98 RON..
Isnt Optimax supposed to be good at keeping your engine cleaner and all that?!?!?
Just out of interest how do the real younuns on here pay for their 172/182 etc?? And how much is your insurance??
I managed to buy a brand new 172 when I hit 21 and I thought I was lucky!! :D
Doesnt it really depend on what kind of driving your doing.
My missus drives mostly motorways and she has accumulated quite a few stone chips. My motor has only been on the motorway a handful of times and has about 3 which you wouldnt notice unless youre anally retentive like me lol!!
You can get a set of custom mats with whatever design you want for abour £60, the dealers are alsways over priced. Best thing I found was to get metal chequerplate floor mats anyway!!
To a certain extent do people reckon they treat their cars more harshly than they used too as they expect it to be more solid than it is?!?!?!?
I only ask as I treat my 172 pretty gently as far as the interior goes and I propably have one rattle. The squeaky seat was caused by Renault anyway...
I have always assisted with cleaning the missus car but dont regularly do it.
Last weekend I cleaned the Clio and spent about an hour polishing it. Then the missus came home so WE cleaner her ZS and polished that as well.
Im 22 now, got my Mk2 172 when I was 21.
I think youre normal for loving these cars no matter how old!!! lol
