They are noisy lumps, make sure its not the injectors youre hearing. Renowned for sounding like a taxi on startup, its nothing to worry about though, just as long as it goes away once its warm and you dont thrash it from cold.
Well I set off for school at 8, usually Im there by 8:25, this morning I didnt get there until 9:45. By the time I got there, half the children had been sent home so I just baby-sat them until lunchtime when most of their parents had come to collect them. Had a pretty cool morning really...
lol well Id try and negotiate a lot off the price if they dont know about the cambelt. You *must* get that done and unless you know a mechanic mate of yours who doesnt mind doing really nasty jobs for 20 quid, youll be looking at a few hundred. I seem to remember Renault quote £500 or something...

Then add VAT to those prices as well!
Im having the high boost job done. If you look at the parts list when it arrives youll see that most of the cost of the job is in parts not labour (labour charged is only about £800 out of the total cost which is nothing considering the development done...
Well I wouldnt say 2.0 conversion are exactly common on the roads, youve just got a high concentration of Clio enthusiasts all in one place here who have had the same idea and went for it! In all it must be less than 1% of valvers have had a 2.0 job.
Yeah its nice to have that kick at 4500...
Oh dear...of course an exhaust makes a difference to the engines power output, its not just a case of venting the exhaust gases straight out from the head!Exhaust tuning on a normally-aspirated engine is something Im not even going to get into but yes you can get power out of an engine with...
Wicked snow this morning. Only one problem down here in SOuthend...Im driving the Beetle again cos the Fiats fanbelt snapped yesterday, and its rear wheel drive with no heating. About the worst thing you could drive in this weather.
Ive been taking every corner sideways on the way home, but it...
well ralphy one thing I will say about Renault is far from being conservative with their performance figures like Peugeot/Citroen, they are too liberal IMHO. Always looks better on paper than it really is! But there is no doubt that a 172/cup are the next step up from a VTS or 106GTi.
Also Ray...

Well AFAIK if you keep the same offset, the symmetry of the wheel is the same as originally. Therefore if you go to a 205 tyre from the factory 185 then you have an extra 20mm of width theoretically (in practice this varies a little). If you have kept the same offset then your 20mm is spread...
Its all nonsense on the road, the only thing you need is to blip the throttle on easy downchanges to match the revs and slide into gear quicker. Then a bit of heel and toe is a good idea to learn when youre coming into a bend fast and need to slow down and change down in a hurry. Left foot...
Thats what I mean Ben, any Clio with more power than a valver will make it a walk in the park, but the 16v and the ST170 are quite similar. In a valver vs ST170 race, if the valver driver was some dull-witted idiot who didnt get off the line very well or bogged down or something, and the ST...
Got it this morning: K30 OST or in other words...

I know theres that extra K at the beginning but thats as close to BOOST (as in turbo pressure) as youre going to get without paying silly money, and even then theyre not...
