Very nice mate.
I lol'd at the interior paintjob, nicely done by renault...
"Just paint the spare wheel well, they'll never know"
EDIT : Where did you get your quickshift from mate?? I'm quite interested in one.
For those after the carpet it can be bought from eBay cheap.
Interior looks mint mate. Would love to do it to mine! Trying the stripped interior this weekend to see if i like it or not.
Fred you wouldn't happen to know anywhere local to us that will Port and polish the F4R head do you??
Unless Ben P is selling his anytime soon?? :rasp:
I thought Cat B could be retained on the grounds of spares only??
Cat A is fit for crusher only isn't it??
Anyways i'm gonna get in trouble for spamming threads again!
Good point made by DaveDreds.
Is it possible to inform an insurance company that a crash has occured but you don't wish to claim from them and therefore retain your NCB etc but still stay on the right side of the law??
Gutted for you mate.
It may be heartbreaking to do, but there could be some money in breaking it after buying back from the insurance if they offer.
I don't want anything from it, thats not my reason behind suggesting it.
Alloys alone worth £300 - £400

Then...
Sorry to revive this thread.
With the catch tanks there are 2 hose fitments, 1 in 1 out i imagine.
Does anything need to be on the 'out' fitment or can it be left open.
Im using the one linked in the OP as my example.
Thanks
How would you guys, as area reps, feel about having a bigger meet somewhere closer to rockingham so that the convoy doesn't have to travel as far.
This may avoid many of the issues of people getting lost etc...
If you guys think it's better arranged closer to the time we can start again say...
I'm having my inlets polished next week and when the guy was quoting me a price he mentioned it would need some kind of work after (Anodising / Lacquering) to stop it going dull or the finish going crappy basically.
Would Britemax Final Shine be ok to protect the shine?
Any other advise on...
I agree.
I would rather of replaced radiator but Radweld was a temporary fix at the time and it hasn't sprung another leak so in the interest on monies it'll stay until it leaks again im afraid!
I didn't think there was over 100 - lol
It may be wiser to all just have seperate convoys and meet somewhere closer to Rockingham and them convoy around 1/2 a mile instead then.
Oh what a dying thread :o
Today was my day off, but whenever Freds ok for if he's being serious.
My coolant system has some Radweld in due to it springing a leak on a long drive so mine desperatly needs doing.
I'll delay taking the car off the road if we can get it done in the next fortnight??
LOL, Best thing for it would be several cars in the pack to have Sat Nav and a car park somewhere near by Hotel or supermarket to finally group together.
Right then, thought it may be an idea to get a club convoy for FCS.
It will be hard work but i'm hoping many of the area reps will help out on this.
If the area reps for each area could post up their convoy points and then we'll try to merge them together as we get closer to Rockingham...
I think there's a 2.0l in there now.
The original GTi install was never that messy. Not even with all the work he's had done either i wouldn't have thought!
Live and learn mate.
Atleast you weren't hurt and neither was anyone else.
Ive had a few little crashes myself not involving any other party. Dented a couple of steelies and an alloy. Cracked a bumper reversing into a space and there was a post.
No biggies. Just good as learning curves...
