Re: The car you wish you never sold... What were they?
I'm 24 and have only ever owned 1 car, the 182 which i still have.
Owned it 2 years and 7 months now, probably keep it for a few more years and then either take it racing or break it up.
The spec of the car is sounding great. Are you allowed the front windscreen tinted in Dubai?
Oh and you have Brembo Max discs not HC's (unless you were meaning High Carbon)
Which Carbon Lorriane pads do you run? I have the older RC5 pads :)
Ebay mate, just type eibach clio spacers into ebay and you'll find what you need, or go to venom motorsport.
I really like the car, I think all the stickers in the rear windows made it look messy. But apart from that it looks cool. Spacers would make it look better.
Ok thanks for that info guys, Jay I thought the Cup Master cylinders had 4 outlets. Or are you meaning that two of them went into the splitter for the rear and the other two went to the front wheels/brakes?
Tony & Jay, I have a small question to ask you regarding your brake lines & cup rear bias valve.
You were using a 2 port master cylinder to start with and one of those ports went off to the front wheels. The other port went into the cabin, through the bias valve next to the gearstick and then...
A high carbon disk like the brembo HC or Max are what you should use with a pad like the DS3000. But the DS3000 pad is just like the Carbone lorraine (CL) or PF97's. Those pads are made from a horriable material which give off loads of dust which bakes its self into paintwork and wheels. Your...
Thanks mate,
I've not fitted my tow strap yet but yes you will need to trim the grill for it go through. I also don't know what bolt you need as I've not looked into it' if you still have your standard tow eye the measure the thickness of the bolt and try find one on eBay. I've sold my tow eye :(
Car looked good on track, I think the thing you have planned for the car are perfect for what you want from the car. Should be a great combo! Are you going to be getting a different set of wheels for the new tires?
Re: Bomber's Savage Supercharged Snorting Slut of a Ph1
I'll just add my 2p's worth, with decent tires and a cleaver right foot charged clios are great at getting power down. If your brutal enough you can get any car to wheel spin, just need to go to tescos car park on a Friday night and all...
Re: No Compromise ph1 ITB build (Fastcar, BTM, TDF, RS Fab) - ITB update p77
Excelent work matey.
Are you going to do anything with the huge indicator & Wiper stalk thing, The bit that goes behind the wheel Boss. Mine looks really gay and i cant really thing of a way to tidy it up!
The loom should look great then, I did want somone like Matt to sort me a new loom but thought i'd try making the standrad rubbish look good first and then go from there. My standrad engine loom is now locacted inside the car and the only things that are going into the engine bay are the wires...
Well I'm hoping to get it all running in a few weeks, and after its all running i'll book my trackdays, I have bought 8 days worth of trackdays for this year so it's deffently getting some action in 2011
I pay about £1000, I'm 24 (just), 3years ncb, and every mod is declaired (theres a lot)...
The car still has the AST topmounts too add camber so ts still got some more negative camber toget.
I'm hoping to get the car road registered but still may trailer it to trackdays just invade I have any problems with thecar like crashing it.
Update,
As i had spaced the rear out i needed to space the front track outwards too. So i bought some 25mm Eibach spacers for the front. So its now 50mm wider at the front.
As they arrived today i fitted them tonight :)
So here's the disk bare with no spacer, ignor the rust.
With...
I pulled all the heat shrink off the Omex loom and there some pretty burnt bits of wiring and a few poor bits of wiring. I'll be showing pics in my thread when i finish building my new loom
