£100 is a very good price !
Depending on how far out of warranty your car is, you may be able to get customer services to cover part of the cost. I had the same issue with mine @ 3year 2 months and got 80% of the cost + a small fitting cost which cost me £70 all in for a new wheel which I was...
The flame red is getting some braided lines via the group buy so i'm venturing into unknown territory as looking at replacing them myself and never bled brakes or similar before.
Ive done a bit of reading and seen that dot4 stuff is recommended. Car is used for road but do plan on throwing it...
no you wouldnt notice unless you were hammering the connection between 2 pc's. You dont manually 'switch' connections. Its just a term which means a switch is better than a hub as a swicth is intellegent and looks at packets and only sends them to the destination on the connected ports...
ditto to fred. Have read several times (probably from your posts) about how much better braided lines are, but why ? Are the oem ones particularly poor ?
Have bandwagon jumped a certain amount and just ordered some via group buy so shall be fitting them soon at some point and was considering a...
Might do :)

To be fair, there were actually quite good to talk to and almost helpful, pity the dealerships dont have the same recruitment policy.
If you dont get the right answers just ask to speak to a manager.
I had another issue in that my local dealer...
month or two. was this year and my main argument was steering wheel had already been replaced once uder warranty and was less than a year old but still wasnt covered. Was higher milage tho @ 40k+
Make out youve been trying to get the dealer to sort it for some time (months) and that it wasnt as...
I was in a similar position. Local dealer wasnt interested. Complained to customer services and they offered to pay 80% of the cost which was great considering the new sterring wheel was £360. Eventually got to speak with a manager who was very helpful in sorting it.
yes. id reccomend connecting to the netgear router and disabling the dhcp server to as you would have 2 running with one (the netgear) giving out duff info. You may also need a crossover cat5 cable (or an adapter) as going hub to hub isnt always supported on basic routers, not expensive !
but...
^^ as rctempire said
your running 2 sets of speakers in the back in series by the sound of it which the head unit wont be able to do.
depending on the impedence of the 2 sets (im guessing the old front ones will be the small and lower quality) id suggest removing them (may have to short if they...
following on from my issue with the reclining seat not working properly, has anyone got a picture of just the runners ? Also how do they seperate from the seat etc ?
Ideally id like to know how to dismantle the seat / assembly to allow me access to the clip which runs along the teeth that...
i find it strange alexandros, that as a new member 4 of you 5 whole posts are in this thread spouting the joys of how good mr fastchip is when there are several people (myself included) who have had bad dealings with the company and have ended up losing out to significant sums of money to him...
apart from when the lying thieving b*****d sends you something faulty and then wont pay up and leaves you £200 out of pocket. Avoid the c**t like the plague !!!!
That s**t will let you read and backup your own stuff but not gonna do owt else with it.
local dealer can only solve this by selling me what appears to be the subframe / sliding assembly for a snip @ 170 quid so i think its a trip to the local scrappy !
not without getting really annoyed and losing most of your skin on your knuckles. Liner is removed by pulling (gently) 2x plastic clips which clip intot he bodywork and undoing the 2 torx screws which attach to the edge of the wing
right, mine isnt working as well as I'd hoped due to it being stuck between up / down last nite and without locking in aeither position.
The problem is this little fella (see pic)
Originally it got stuck 'mid tooth' which was the cause for it not setting properly. In my haste i broke it with a...
indeed 840 is a good price, generally trendlines are 500-600 each new + 100+ each for subframes = fair bit more than the 1k option price they were on new 182's :(
Altho i'd give my left kidney for a set of recaro sportster cs from the f1 :D
phone up renault customer services and complain that its failed just out of warranty. I had the same issue (albeit mine had been replaced once under warranty) as it failed again out of warranty. They offered to pay 80% of a new one :)
id disagree
on cruise you will maintain a constant speed and constant revs.
Normal driving you will be slightly more stop start and hence waste enrgy and therefore use more petrol.
long motorway runs being best example.
is certainly the way i have used it !
Its not 'blimey i can now do 160 and 0-60 in 4.3' but there is definitely a marked improvement, more to be seen with other mods ie induction work & exhausts which im yet to appreciate :)
Technically its altering the fuelling maps to allow more fuel and better timings for combustion. The...
depends on the insurers.
I had the same argument with direct line when i was looking at a meggy 225 and wanted cup packs, they were oblivious to it so wanted to charge me extra for it a s a mod
