Hi guys. I just reassembled my 172 engine. Installed the cambelt strictly by the Renault manual but i have a question: the arrow on the tensioner moves slightly within the mark/gap when turning the engine. Is this normal or do i need another tensioner? Timing is spot on. Thanks

I think that there are no powerflex bushes available for the rear axle.

Should be an immobiliser problem. Noise could be the throttle body which is normal.

They seem to be quite wild. Probably not runable on standard valvetrain. May need pistons with valve pockets/cutouts aswell.

I don't think, you have ever seen a clio rear axle. + Audi is not Renault!?

You can get them from H&R directly or via an official H&R dealer (should be easier).

MK3 non sports not iirc Might be due to Apex springs and worn shocks. Check the front axles balljoints aswell.

Why would you want to fit EBC/drilled discs especially to the rear of a Clio?

You'll ned the newer version. FW should be 1.85. Your car needs to be decatted aswell.

Carbs? Back to the 60s? I'd go for a set of ITBs instead.

Yupp, the alarm system is crap. First thing when i bought my car and waiting for the ferry back to the continent was firing the alarm off. Quite annoying when you're surrounded by waiting/sleeping people.

mhmmmm Compbrake's finest! Get rid of them and change to OEM or ktec/AST/pure motorsports top mounts. I wouldn´t drive the car with the top mounts in this "position". Grind the big threaded ring off as they are supposed to fly in the bin anyway.

Engine type might be helpful :S

Could be a leaking rocker cover (HGF are quite rare on the F4R) which is a big job including cambelt change etc.

Did they fit a new release bearing? Has the box been rebuilt? Could also be the main shaft bearing of the box.

Arsehole? :eek: n1 flaming. Would you drive with nackered brakes? Are you willing to commit suicide? Engineers were really bored, that's why they invented the shock absorber...

I'd say new cambelt kit, aux belt kit and dephaser asap!
