  172/1.2/E30
Hi guys.

I just reassembled my 172 engine. Installed the cambelt strictly by the Renault manual but i have a question: the arrow on the tensioner moves slightly within the mark/gap when turning the engine. Is this normal or do i need another tensioner? Timing is spot on.

Thanks

It has a auto tensioner so when your checking the belt deflection the cam inside the tensioner will move thus adjusting
The position of the arrow within the gap.

Aslong as the arrow was sat in the middle of the gap after rotating the engine by hand it will be right.
