Yeah mate I'm not sold on the leather totally but that's why I'm going to have a look to see for myself as I have never experienced it!
As good as the Recaros are I do alot of miles and remember moaning about them at times in my 197 so leather could be a good alternative.
Cheers Sangara. I know the cars are covered by warranty but I still don't need it to be in and out of a dealership every 5.
Spec is LY, cup chassis, full leather (my only potential issue as I would've prefered Recaros again), guide me home lights and I think that's about it.
Up for 14k at a...
Cheers lads, I thought the gearbox may come up.
Gally it's a good little car mate that does the job its supposed to do but if im honest I really can't say I like it as much I have the Clio's (nowhere near) and for that reason i'm struggling to settle.
Plus they are so common. I must see at...
Feels like I have been out of the game for so long that I need some advise on what to look out for?
The cars less than a year old and only on 3k so whilst it should be fresh I'm still abit cautious as to why it's been given back already.
I have never had any problems with Clios personally but...
Absolutely no contest.
If you want to move into the hot hatch market you won't go better than a 182 which in reality isn't that costly to run if you get a gooden and look after it.
If you're happy pottering about in an everyday more economical car (iv tried this after years with RS's and am...
Gearboxes waffer fin?
I never had any problems with mine!
Was proper solid compared to the 182 (which also wasn't bad either).
30-32 mpg mixed driving (not round town) I found also which is none too bad for the type I car it is.
Struggling to adapt mate but then the reason I bought it was because it was going to be cheaper to run than the RS's which it is.
Cant decide whether the money being saved in fuel, tax, insurance etc is enough to outweigh the driving thrills!
How are you getting on?
Good shout Steve but it is at a main dealer!
What would be the odds on getting them to extend the warranty for a further year or are most Renault dealers reluctant to do that?
A chap at works just bought an S3 from Audi on an 08 and got three years out of them but I suppose specific...
Haha iv missed you too Revs but don't get a chance to come on here much these days.
Girls colour or not I still miss my Liquid 182 but driving so many miles a month now I'm still weighing up whether a 200's a good idea or not with the forever increasing fuel costs.
Hi all
Whats the going rate on the below from a dealer?
60 plate (November 2010 I believe)
10k miles
Liquid Yellow
Recaros
Bluetooth
Speedlines
cup chassis
2 months tax
Its obviously a 19/20k car new but what would you expect to pay on the above?
Cheers
J
Knowing what i know now i'd have kept my 182 all day long rather than chopping it in for a 197 (as good as it was).
If you've got spare cash there's no questions that a well spec'd 200 is the best however if you havnt and a cars not a massive priority i wouldnt poor more money into another RS.
Gally mate I could count how many times I cleaned the 197 this year on one hand! lol
I'm over the top on looking after a car mechanically and hate any dings or scratches but as far as cleaning cars go its a chore for me.
Will look into this C1 malarky I think.
Yeah I'm happy with it Jordi although it's not as amazing on the fuel front as I was expecting which is abit piss!
Nice comfortable cruiser for the motorway and better looking than the 197 so for the money I'm not complaing too much.
JD I thought I'd hate not having the power mate but dropping...
Cheers chaps I was thinking as much on the supaguard front so will probs get a detailer to sort it for me.
JD got a Fiesta Metal mate. Needed peace of mind of warranty because of doing more miles and as the 197 failed it's first MOT after just 18k of TLC and already needed a new exhaust it was...
Hi All
Just got a new car (brand new) and thinking of having it supaguarded but is there a better less expensive alternative?
I don't mind paying somebody in the south east to do it for me as I'm useless at this sort of thing but think its probably best to do something before the salt...
It makes me sick to think renault offered me 7.5k for my late 58 plate with a better spec and 16k on the clock! lol
That's either over priced or there is nothing between 197's as far as price gos.
Iv driven one already mate so I know what it's about and Alan has made some good points.
Actually pretty much all of what he said is what I'm thinking plus the fact I like the idea of owning the newest and best RS Clio currently on the market.
Why would I want to chuck 3k at the older model when the same would get me peace of mind and the newer!?
If the 197 stays reliable great but if it turns unreliable I don't really fancy putting the time and expense into it.
It's a tough one but I can see why people who use their cars on a...
^What do you mean expensive to maintain? In what way?
I'm currently thinking about a 200 as the 197's just about to fall out off warranty and I don't want to be caught out but to be honest to date the 197 hasn't cost me much to maintain at all.
