if i'm right on thinking, on a cup its a pretty straightforward job - literally 1-2 hrs so you should be able to get it done pretty cheap (i think its got something to do with not having the air con? the kit only costs £130ish i think)
otherwise i paid £250 for my standard 172, but have seen...
the manual aduster is part of the whole auto levelling unit so you'd probably need to replace that if its fucked... if you unplug the wire from the motor and unclip it from the unit you can manually turn the black adjusting arm rather than using the little white thing on the top... a bit of...
the levelling motor is the thing attached to the back of the headlight with a little white adjuster on top... disconnect the wire and then twist it and it should pop out the back of the light housing - it will still be connected by the adjusting arm so you need to keep twisting the motor and...
you can manually adjust them by turning the little white thing on the top of the levelling motor... but if the motors faulty it will probably unset itself again...if that happens you can either replace the motor or just unplug it although obviously if you do this you won't have the auto...
Can anyone recommend an ipod adaptor or a cheapish replacement headunit? i'd rather not replace the original if i can as i like having the steering wheel controls but have used those radio transmitter things before and they were shite!
the auto leveller on my drivers side is constantly making a wierd sound and doesn't seem to level itself... someone on here has said about unplugging the motor and checking its connected to the adjuster properly but i can't work out to do this... i've twisted the unit but its still connected by...
it was the boot sensor on mine... if it is the interior boot light won't go off... i changed the whole mechanism and works fine now (£5 from the scrap yard)
the heater matrix is behind the fans in the centre console or if you take the scuttle panel off you should be able to see it/feel it from there... i think you might also be able to feel it if you put your hand under the footwell casing although to take it out & fix/replace you will probably need...
i had the same problem on my old clio & it definitely was the matrix... i tried flushing the system but ended up with loads of leaks!! if you can be bothered, take out the scuttle panel & heater fan and stick your hand down to feel how hot the matrix is getting... if its blocked it will only be...
i'm sure there is an existing post about this somewhere but i can't find it!!
i've had my clio for about 6 months and for as long as i've had it the headlight washers haven't work & i'd pretty much forgotten they even existed.
i 've got no idea where to start looking for the problem to...
how did you take the fan blade out? i've taken the top bit off but can't get access to the fan... obviously i'd rather try and clean & oil it before i buy a new one
top headlight mount? washers? FTW?
sorry i'm not too clued up on these terms?
the drivers side headlight motor is dodgy and it seems pretty impossible to get at it without taking the light out as there is a metal bar going across the top of it. I can't take the light out as the bottom...
the fan for the climate control sensor inside the interior light unit keeps buzzing... i've taken it apart and tried spraying WD-40 on it but it still makes loads of noise, although most of the noise seems to be coming from the the plastic casings vibrating... anyone have any ideas how to fix...
