its to eliminate the glare you get from the sun on the dashboard but unless you use the car for track days etc. I can't really see this ever being a major problem so it's more for the look than anything.
i've noticed for the last couple of days that the car seems to be feeling the bumps alot more and there seems to be a constant vibration when driving. The steering also feels a bit wierd and seems to be pulling to the sides alot more.
Any ideas on what it could be or obvious things to check?
i'm pretty sure the rear hatch is the problem but I've already changed the locking mechanism once & it seems strange that it should go again, especially given that I very rarely even open it. I'm tempted to try and disconnect it completely but not sure if that would cause a break in the circuit...
if it's the bonnet pin would the door open warning light be showing?
My light keeps flashing suggesting one of the doors is open & setting the alarm off in the process but I can't work out the problem. I previously replaced the boot catch for the same reason but can't believe it could be...
is there anyway easy way of locking the car from outside while the engine running? now that the frost has started setting in I'd like to be able to warm the car up for 10 mins before I set off in the morning without having to worry about someone driving off
are both headlights moving or just one? if they both are it's most likely the sensor in the bumper that's fucked. If it's just one (you should be able to hear the motor moving) the leveler is probably gone. Try swopping it over with the one that works and if it the problem moves to the other...
I've noticed the car seems to be riding alot more bumpy these days & seemed particularly bad the other day. It felt like there might have been something stuck in the wheels but the noise seemed to be moving from wheel to wheel & when I stopped to look I couldn't see anything. There was also a...
they all buzz... its the temp sensor fan making all the plastic vibrate- you can get a new one for £20ish but i can't see it fixing the problem completely.
i can't see it being the reason for the blowers not working - it might affect the temperature control but its more likely the blower...
clean all the connections - especially the earth/ground. If that doesn't work try running a wire to it straight from the battery & see if it works then (you'll still need to earth it) - if that doesn;t work you'll probably need a new one although it most likely just needs the connections cleaning
is the standard really that bad?? i've only replaced my headunit so I can use my ipod but everything else seems fine - although I can see problems might arise if you start banging the tunes out like a c**t & if thats what you're aiming for you'll need to spend much more than £200 to quality sound
i'd leave well alone... the pics are clearly not from the car for sale & it seems a bit too cheap - i never believe it when people say they are selling because there is something wrong and they "don't have time" to fix it but its an easy/cheap fix. I'd expect to pay at least £2500 for a car of...
most of the noise seems to come from the housing itself so i can't see replacing the fan helping too much... i've tried filling the casing with foam & sticking tape round all the fixings to get rid of some of the vibration but it hasn't made a massive amount of difference. I've just accepted...
there should be a little white box that clips into the back of the headlight... at the end of this is the black arm - if you twist the whole unit it should come free & you'll be able to tell if the arm is attached
have you checked it hasn't just been disconnected from the levelling motor? if it has you should be able to reconnect it without removing the headlight & all the hastle that goes with it... there should be a little black arm which has a nipple on the end that clips into the light unit & if this...
"Uprated filter in the standard box " - where would you get one of these as i'm not too clued up on all these different makes & brands. How much would you be expecting to pay?
how much money are you looking to spend... i've got a cheap sony xplod £90ish but does the job - connects via a cable in the back so i can leave the ipod in the glovebox & as its sony you don't need an aerial adaptor. Most of them connect to the steering wheel controls but you need an adaptor...
you can't really "afford" it if you are in masses of debt BUT if you don't mind spending all your wages on a car & insurance go for it.
I wouldn't because I'd rather spend my money elsewhere but if I was you I'd say f**k cliosport.net & get something better
