From my (limited) research one bloke has been done in Wales for perverting the course of justice, that said the LRC-400 is due out soon and this does actually double as a garage door opener, depending on the cost I reckon I will get one when they are released. Luckily I have an electric garage...
Toypop, jammers arent illegal.............. a grey area granted but not illegal. Also the detectors are useful if you are driving places you dont know and the fixed cameras are hiding behind trees etc. Also the blackspot warning is useful, it always makes me slow down and be extra vigilent. Dont...
There has only been one case (in Wales I believe) of someone getting done for this, what happened to him I have no idea (hardly crime of the century!)
I dont think its correct that some laser guns will warn that they are being jammed but I may be wrong. Also there are a lot of reports that the...
I have just emailed a couple of companies to find out about the compatability of the RA2 and LRC100, I know the RA classic was compatible so am assuming that the RA2 is also. I will keep you posted. As for the safety vans I went past one last Wednesday and it didnt go off, this could be for 2...
Ive just traded in my RA classic for the RA2, its a much tidier unit than the classic. You can also connect the LRC100 laser jammer to this!!
I also have an output from the RA2 to my iPAQ for SatNav (using the tomtom3 software), works a treat and is also totally portable.
Got it from Radar...
Mac,
I too have been in touch with Blackspot about this, they are based in Silverstone about 15 minutes away for me so they have told me to take mine up for a test. Ill let you know. One thing they did say was that the laser guns give very little scatter so unless you have been targeted you...
Dont think there is any truth in the 10% margin, they can do you for what they like (providing you are exceding the speed limit). All depends on the copper.
Doesnt someone on this forum own the Williams #2, just been watching Deals on Wheels (Discovery H&L) and it was being featured, the program is a few years old now. The regestration was something like L11 JBK. They also said that Frank Williams bought #1 but it was written off??
As soon as the car is a couple of years old I really dont think people care if it is imported or not, overall condition would be more important.
I still reckon that the initial savings far outweigh what you might lose at resale.
Lets put it this way, if you can get a new V6 for £21k, come...
Renault parts told me 15w-40, people are quoting all diferent numbers at me and Im confused. Im reluctant to top up until I know for sure. If its any use its done just over 9k miles.
Stokesey.
Can someone please help. I need to top up my oil in a Mk2 172, went to Renault today and bought some stuff that they had, never heard of it and to be honest dont trust Renault as far as I could throw them. They recommended 15w-40 and sold me some crap for £2.30. Went to Halfords and brought...
Road Angel works well, like wallisj Ive got mine hooked up to a pocket PC for satnav, I went to Blackspot Interactive (based in Silverstone) to demo one prior to buying it. On ebay you can pick them up for about £340, a guy who sits next to me got one brand new off of ebay for £270!!
RAdar...
I installed satnav using a Road Angel GPS radar detector connected to a Compaq iPAQ, purchased a Brodit in-car mount and the cable kit, hey presto voice guided satnav at a fraction of the price and it can be taken from vehicle to vehicle.
You wouldnt be able to get the renault option fitted...
