as an FYI, if you ever ABSOLUTELY KNOW FOR CERTAIN who it was that damaged your car there are two products designed for revenge. One is called Nitromorse(unsure if spelt correctly) and the other is brake fluid. Nitromorse strips to the metal whislt bubbling the paint, brake fluid strips the...
asked this before and so will have to ask again. Has anyone managed to detect a roadside mobile trap with one of these things and/or a Police car? I was under the impression some roadside traps (ie mini gatsos which are carried in the back of those lovely vans) use radar, not laser. if so, does...
dont, even if they are caught after they broke in you will be arrested for deliberately harming another. I know it sucks ass but its true. If you deliberately set a trap for someone that will harm them, in any way, you are breaking the law and will, VERY UNFAIRLY in my eyes, end up being...
tyres are personal preference imho. I like Toyos, but dont like replacing them every 6k, where I have Falkens on now, and detest them, but they last really well and are predictable.
The Eagles are good tyres but i went through some in about 4k of hard driving
have you not got to the point know where there are less things that can go wrong as everything is replaced? i8f you sell it the next owner could end up getting a fully repaired minter? Then you would be gutted, there is a point where you have done so much you just cant stop, or it would have...
so has anyone that has a GPS unit with the laser extra detector actually picked up a roadside trap (mobile). If not I aint getting one cos these are the ones I look out for, oh, and who has detected the Police whilst they are following you?
Need to know cos its a lot of money if it dont work...
just turned 25 and got a quote for a scooby, it was £803!!! A 172 was £805!! WTF! maybe stay with the ickle Clio for another year or so then unleash some fury in a 2.0T, renault are bound to have anice small car with a turbo out soon?
I know that feeling, the reason the 1.2 16v is sio crap on fuel is you have to ring the nuts of it to get it to move! Saying that on a trip to Edinburgh a while ago I saw 53.9mpg over 230 miles (ie better than my diesel gets sometimes!)
Know what you mean about the drive though. I know...
nope, means its bloody expensive. Check your policy mate cos Im sure some companies class "racing" as "any high speed manoever with other vehicles present". In other words its a get out clause so that if you crash and they can prove you were speeding with other vehicles in close proximity they...
get them to check the throttle body, its a known fault as far as I know. If it aint that they should have updated the ecu when you went in the first time, ask them if they have. Also, dont know how well this works (have been told very well) the ecu should have a list of encountered faults when...
GR, if bodyshops can match the paint by checking the colour code on the car how come RENAULT couldnt paint the car one fecking matching colour the 1st time (IE when it was built!) Not one bodyshop will garauntee me a perfect paint match, all using the "its impossible to match spot on cos we will...
put it up for 1k NO OFFERS, if no one calls then re-advertise? depends where you are on what a car is worth. Seems the cheapest place to get a car is the Scottish borders, weird and never worked out why.
well done for having the balls to do it. Are they adjustable? and if so is it a quick process or the long protracted one that take several hours?
Just curious.
they also charge you a £40 admin fee every time they change/alter the details on your policy!
I lowered mine and fitted 17s and they were ok with that. REMEMBER, the excess on the policy if fooking high as it is, if you crash it could cost you a fortune!
best mods are suspension and brake ones, at least then out on the road the difference can be felt. Lets face it, as we have all seen, a couple of extra ponies makes very little difference. Making your car handle and stop better can make those little races far more fun!
Just my humble opinion...
said it before will say it again. Reg Vardy Renault, Stoneygate (near Sunderland) have been superb every time I have spoken to/used their services. All I need now is a good Renault bodyshop (CAN NO ONE GARAUNTEE A MATCH ON COLOUR CODING!!!!:@)
Black is the classic colour, too common on lower level Clios (especially the 1.2 16V) and Blue is the finer choice, IMHO. I think the Clio really suits silver but there are just tooooo many silver cars, let alone silver Clios!
Never seen a red one irl yet so cant comment
thats a good idea that, never thought of asking the investigator to come to the site with me. Kinda gives you a chance for a face to face explanation too.
You can reduce the shocks by adding one of those stupid earth straps from the bodywork to the ground. I notice it more wearing certain types of shoes. When wearing trainers I get shocked every time, but when wearing my boots never been shocked yet. Anyone else noticed this?
