buy hammerite smooth. dont need a primer, just clean the caplipers and remove any rust/loose crap off parts you wanna paint. The hammerite stuff dries fairly quick but I left mine over night (just incase, dont want paint on my wheels!)
I am re-doing mine in white when the weather gets better/I...
Ever get a chance to go to Elvington (big feck off 2mile runway near York) for some drag action, DO IT! Just been and apart from some of the best cars on the planet being in attendance, some of the best times I have seen in a long while were recorded.
From Honda NSX (couldnt believe it when it...
the front windows on a new Clio are just under the legal limit for tinting as it is. Bets off going for medium tints on the back and light on the front. Night driving will still be hard, but you get used to it. Its night driving when its raining thats the really hard one!
hey as I say its all down to each others preference. It will look good and I hope you like it. Its just not for me anymore, i think the speed bump problem was the biggest for me, even remember having to lift the car off one once!
guess if you wanna add some more there are the roof bars (for sunroof), all the plastic interior trim. The centre of each alloy wheel? Guess you can go on for ages.
Main parts are wings, front bumper and rear bumper.
Mk2 Escort RS2000 or the 3Ltr Capri for that Professionals feeling!
If you have 10K and can be bothered the Cossie way is a good one to follow. Buy a crap example and spend the rest of the money re-building it to former glory.
A mate of mine has just done this with an old RS1600i, car cost...
I have 205s on the front and it dont happen that often but if I brake sharply from about 80 it stops fecking well, only get a slight abs intrusion if I really nail the pedal
wonder how long drive shafts last when they are that low, lol. Good luck though. Being that low is kinda a "been there and hated it" feeling for me. Great getting the looks and the admiration, just a pity I had to wind the buggers up every time I actually wanted to drive the car!
Ill stick...
thats the only consilation I have. First car I drove with auto wipers scared the crap outta me as i drove past a lorry and the wipers went mental, didnt know it had them until then!
as far as i can find out the earlier 1.2 16vs may not have ebd, I think this was a 1.4 and above option, in...
from what i remember of driving a saxo (about 2 years ago) I would say the Clio would murder a saxo on twisty stuff. Far too skittish on bends and didnt give me the same amount of confidence I have with the Clio.
Anyone else driven both that can give a comparison?
never happen. Car manufacturers make cars that run on a "give and take" basis. Engine noise "not too" loud
Exhaust "not too" noisy
basically everything is a compromiose, if you wanna see a fairly uncompromised car then go and watch some rallying, and even they have to play within the rules...
nope, wont come off mate. get it cut off and have an adapter pipe welded on for future (what Im doing next month) then origional can be refitted, all you have to say is you reversed over a log and it broke the exhaust so you fixed it!
Why not go to Elvington instead?!?!? Its hosting a qualifier for ten of the best too! Ill be there. Will be up for Crail later on in the year though, been a few times and its spot on, dodgy strip mind!
nah, you would much rather have a 1.2 16v for the ring, at least you can get 45mpg while going round it, lol. or get a dci 80 and do 70mpg while trouncing every Poker and Ferrari out there. Us small Clio drivers know they are unbeatable! (i bloody wish!)
most things in the same category as mine, plus some that I should know better than to try it on with. Best win yet was against a new mini down a country lane. 3 miles of white knuckle driving and I past him about 1.5 mile in, he was soooo pissed when he found out it was a 1.2. And I was under...
erm, not sure, suppose as long as I can find a garage that can colour code it and actually match the paint it would look nice (not a get at at your work, just Renault cant even paint the car one colour all over!)
Anyone know of anywhere in the North East that can paint Sunburst Yellow without...
I paid about £7 for a filter for mine. I personally think you should have it changed cos they do get clogged with crap regardless of what fuel you run. Think its weird they state a different mileage for diesels!?!?!?
I change mine every 8K, will be buying a replacement panel filter soon that I...
