The Mk2 172 wheels are 7x16 ET 48.5 6.5x16 ET49 would probably fit...but why would you want to fit them, as theyre narrorer!

I saw Pretenders car last week, with 172 bumpers, wings and side skirts - looked superb!!

Konis are superb, and I believe theyve just developed a kit for the 172. I think R-Sport have fitted rally-spec Bilsteins to their car. IMHO the damping is fairly weak on the 172/Cup and hard springs (AVOs, etc.) really show it up. Again, IMHO, unless youre constantly doing different track...

Whilst were on the subject, where can I get a second-hand grille for a Mk2 (doesnt have to be a 172 one) - I want to cut one up and mesh it, and keep mine spare in case I fcuk it up!

Some 2000 wet & dry and then Farclea G10 fine rubbing compound will do the trick
