A friend of a friend has a bearing press. How feasible is it to change the bearings? The discs have life in them, so it seems a bit of a shame to ditch them.
Am I best off just buying new discs/pads and bearings?
Any recommendations on where to buy? Saw a thread on here that someone was selling pairs of brembos with bearings and pads for around £100 posted.
Thanks.
Hi,
Pretty simple question, what sort of volume of oil is required to fill from min to max on the 182?
Oil is fine, had a service not long ago, but the oil indicator range is quite large on the dipstick. The level is about a centimetre above min and golden still, but I was wondering how much...
Nah, can't say I've ever noticed it. And to be honest, if I want to go somewhere quick, I'm going to be dropping down a gear. I've not seen any graphs from standard 182's before, I'm guessing this looks pretty similar?
I'll stick the graph up tomorrow, but here's the details;
bhp@flywheel = 171.2
bhp@wheels = 143.8
torque (Nm) = 198
This was consistent over three runs.
Flat spot at 2250-2500rpm, drops a fair bit and picks back up.
Can't say it's that noticeable, but I'm probably used to it.
Had...
This is my car summed up in a thread: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?435369-Cold-start-often-VERY-rough
I guess this is a common issue then?
Hi, car in question is a 182.
Over the past week, when cold, the revs dip every 5 or so seconds. Today I started it up and pulled away and it wouldn't rev over 1.5/2krpm and was popping a lot from the exhaust. Once it had started to warm it stopped.
I've run the diagnostics on the keys/stalk...
Not sure if I am yet, I'm considering some adjustable baffles for it. I'd probably go for an aftermarket one that doesn't resonate so loudly at idle or with the slightest rev if I do change it.
Gave the car a clean the other day but there's pollen all over it now.
The gold is showing nicely in this light.

Also the skoda splitter is now fitted, the previous owner must of torn theirs off on a curb as there were a few old holes / screws there.
I'm not 100% sure to be fair. It was on it when I bought it and all I can see on the two back boxes is 'High Oak Systems'. I have a feeling it must be custom?
Grabbed mine a week ago for £2800, 55 plate, 74k, FSH and service just done (all but two from renault), all belts & water pump done 10k ago, exhaust been done, bodywork is spot on. So you can find them in that region. I had to search quite a bit and travel a couple hundred miles!
I'm 24. I've seen my county offers the course, so if I did get caught, hopefully I get offered it. I just looked up Wolverhampton & I see they brought in the courses in Aug 2010 for West Midlands? Was it before that date?
Had this for just over a week now (and loving it) here's a few photos from yesterday.
And the first recording of the exhaust - it may not stay, the drone inside the car is a bit much.

£91 for the exhaust, £100 for the tints.
edit: After getting off hold on the phone it seems it's only £160 for both, so it looks like the more you modify the cheaper it is! :banghead:
Quick question out of interest...
The exhaust on it is not OEM, replaced by previous owners for whatever reason. It's a custom made stainless steel cat back system. I presume this has to be declared? Would a replacement exhaust from your local garage need to be declared? Insurance boggles my...
