Prob would be a new Clio Williams BUT - dont forget that the Williams is just a Renault parts bin special.
It is just a name. A good car but just a name none the less.
Some one posted pics of an BMW M3 Williams edition a while ago?
Have you got tinted windows?
It can only pass through non metalic materials. If you have mirrored or tinted windows with metalic substances itll dull the effect.
Had one once, cant remember if it was an RX7 or an early Evo but think it was either a late 7 or early 8 1/4.
Looked like this thing had been fired out of a cannon.
New Ferrari 460 has launch control as standard - how cool is that.
Just need another £100k + to get one.
Also both times I was r/rd I had the blow off valve atmospheric when it HAS to be re-circ. My clutch slipped a bit when I made 235bhp as well.
I had a vid clip of that blue skyline doing a 10 sec qtr.
Ill try and find it.
According to Engine advantages I got 186bhp @ the wheels and 235 bhp (246 lbs ft torque) at the fly.
When I bought it BB got 202 bhp and 203 lb torque. Since then I turned the boost up a couple of PSi, nothing silly though. Cost be £34.50 for 33 bhp.
Chip next!
Ill have to take your word cause Ive never been in a standard Cossie. Been in an Escort once and not really a hard driver so wouldnt have got the full feel.
Not that Im bothered mine does mid to low 14s standard I think so with the little bit extra Im running it should be pretty quick...
That TVRs got the best interior I have EVER seen. Colour looks awesome, wheels are stunning. Body kit is a prefered taste but I personally like it. I think some TVRs look a bit bland and that kits made it totally outrageous. Something all TVRs should be.
Didnt think much of the carbon fibre F1...
I posted this on MR2OC this morning:
I was turning off of a round about in to a 2 laned exit. This then filters in to 1 lane and he overtook me as I was filtering in. Very agressive, I had to brake or else Id have run out of road or hit him.
Pulled up next to him at some lights and he was...
13.1 in a near standard RWD Cossie is pretty untouchable by a Clio. Thats what my mate did. Beating a 265 bhp Nova Turbo, 330bhp 4x4 cossie, 330+ bhp Lotus Esprite 2.2 Turbo.
If you know how to launch them then theyre alot faster than the 4x4s.
Less weight and loads less power loss to the...
I got the BMW "i have the best car in the world" attitude last night.
Ive never had a problem with them before but this tw*t in a 325i overtook me strait off a r/a while the 2 lanes were filtering in to one. Hes lucky I was looking or else Id have clipped in to the side of him.
I pulled up...
Trust me, get a mint Cossie and watch people envious faces.
On the other hand get a tired ass saggy thing with a hole in the exhaust and watch them laugh.
Yours is the pretty quick light ass Clio isnt it?
Cant speak for yours obviously but my mates bog standard Escos used to eat my Clio for breakfast. And his wasnt in great shape.
As for the Sapph my other mate had I could have him till the turbo kicked in!
BUT, no experience of a standard...
Valver and Willy gearbox isnt up to it. 172/182 prob isnt geared for it either. Also areodynamics play a big role. My mates Nova has a Calibra Turbo engine running 265 bhp. Has the Astra GTE 16v box so it wont get near the 152 mph that the that Calibra Turbo does.
V6 could but not talking...
Dunno mate, theres an air of superiority when driving a Cossie. 0-100 is only good on small runs, no good on an open road. Theyre just legends, people see a Cossie go storming past they are in awe of it. Clios dont get that reaction. unless of course your talking V6.
I think my car in standard...
No amount of modding or power will take a valver to 160mph.
Eventually the Cossie will win one way or the other.
My mates sapph did the qtr in 13.1 secs at over 100mph. That was MILDLY tuned!
Does it have a flux capacitator?
I like the fact its one of the most mint renault clio williamss around but its only a 1.8? The ad needs some feed back to correct his mistakes but too late some poor chavs bought it.
Cossie Killer?
No fcuking way.
I was taking an E36 M3 on the rounabouts in my Clio 16v not long ago. He murdered me as soon as it got strait!
It wasnt even close but he was up for a laugh and slowed down near roundabouts to let me catch up.
Its how Renault keep you entertained. You drive along on the edge of your seat thinking "whatll go wrong next"
Paddy, it aint just 172/182s mate trust me!
Not only do they go wrong a lot they are a fcuker to fix.
Good fun, if can afford it then fine but if your tight for cash and have to...
In the lorry drivers defence: The majority are foreign, you try driving something that big on the wrong side of the road in a foreign country. Their views of people are very diffent to your views of them. You might think theyre very close but they can see strait down and know theres a safe gap...
Id say for an average driver theyre chuckable cars.
Get a good driver in a rwd car and itll be a defferent story. Full throttle totally sideways through a bend is a work of art if performed right.
Then the big boys with 4x4 like Evo and Skylines are in a diferent league.
Gearbox and clutch could be a problem area.
Check the oil for any water contamination. Looks like mines just gone pair shaped and gonna cost me a new engine.
Sounds good for a pretty late example. If it all works and is strait go for it.
Make sure of the usual things, cam belt should have been done (probably twice with that many miles)
Do you know what blue it is? If its Monaco blue (may only have been on N platers) its much rarer.
You have to remeber its a very old engine and being small and punchy the power delivery is different to a 16v engine which is much more progressive.
From a 1.2 8v oasis / 1.4 RT its a HUGE step up though.
Brun, Diamond Geezer, Malice (1.7 volvo t), ClioSportCraig, Marcus, Purple Turbo (selling).
From what you have now that would be a very good conversion.
