forum members are welcome to borrow one of our ramps for a price (sundays only), although anything goes wrong your problem, you damage anything in my workshop = a) you'll get a slap and a firm kick in the balls, b) you'll be paying the bill
e-mail me for a price
we recommend it definatley (with the strut brace!), you can buy it from Pure motorsport yourself and get it fitted anywhere, we supply all ther gear but only for cars coming to our workshop same prices as shown on their website, Nick is a top chap, ex prodrive etc etc
the hex bit should be at the top at 12 o'clock, on that its at about 3 or 4 o'clock!
you can just about see it here (ignore the upper idler, that's our special one ;))
never seen that before, but that'll cause an air leak = runs like crap and will idle at about 3000rpm (unless it happened slowly over time, which probably means the ecu has adjusted itself)
got loads of them kicking about if you need 1
EDIT - ah ha looks like the bolt nearest to it has been...
well at least you should be covered by 12months parts and labour warranty (genuine parts come with a fitted part warranty, but the car HAS to be inspected by the main dealers if you have an issue, well that's the case with us anyway!)
standard valve train is fine, BUT it is known a weak point (head snaps off stem)
The company you work for should be able to get you the cams at trade i would think, unless your boss hates you!
erm anything really, 421's, 438's, GT's, Schricks (if you have deep pockets)
we're testing a new schrick profile in the next few weeks hopefully, but its not cheap :(
do you have a goal? Lets say 195-200bhp cira 170 torques? that's realistic on the stock ecu and FBW/inlet with a high comp bottom end, any more than that then you'll be needing throttle bodies
the amount of engine failures on new cars is shocking, all this longlife oil stuff is utter b****cks, Fiat's twin air engine being one, i know of 4 clio 200's that have had new engines
would you tell your insurance company your Gallardo has the optional factory wheels instead of the normal ones?? or you A4 has 19's instead of 17's (factory)
no
oh and random fact of the day, Trophy recaros aren't leather, they're synthetic leather aka vynil
