To be honest with you it wouldn't surprise me if it's had uprated cams because I've found quite a few mods the previous owner had done and not told me. It's definitely quicker than my other Cup but I've not had much opportunity to compare it to other RS clios. One occasion I got left behind by a...
I've got a k-tec stealth with the centre silencer removed, it sounds good, a few members on here will tell you what it sounds like ;) lol
It pops now and then when I'm giving the car some stick but I can also get it pop when I want to as well. :D lol
As said previously, give the rear shocks a check for leaking etc. My previous Cup use to randomly try to swap ends even at low speeds. Scared the s**t out of me the 1st time it did it lol. This Cup I have now feels fairly steady at the rear although it does get abit twitchy when driving...
Just an ITG panel filter and a k-tec exhaust mate, although I can't see those mods making much difference to the RR result. Might stick my decat back on for the next RR I have just to see if that makes much difference.
Engine wise it's just got a panel filter and a cat back exhaust (k-tec SS stealth) and I suspect it may have been mapped by the previous owner due to the raised rev limiter.
Yeah wasn't a bad result, I was just happy it wasn't down on power. lol
Had my car on the rollers today, I was reasonably happy with the result but the power curve wasn't smooth, just as it hit the powerband (5krpm) I got a dip in power then it came back and carried on rising. Looks like there's a dead spot there or something?
I'll post up the graphs at somepoint.
Haha! Suppose I'll have to buy one now you've seen this thread considering you'll be doing the M.O.T on it :rasp:
As for crappy front wipers, head out the side window could work? lol
Providing you don't end up with a dog and it's not in the garage every other week lol. As said though they have reasonable running costs. I only work part time and can still run one although it's a 172 rather than the 182 you want.
Problem solved now anyway, I had a rear wiper from ages ago, it was one I bought a while ago and it was to big to use to it was in my loft gathering dust, just took the rubber out and cut it down and fitted it to the wiper on my Clio.
When I removed mine I just used a long 10mm socket and an extension bar, it's fiddley but it shouldn't be to difficult and i cleaned mine with a rag and WD40
Edit: Did you mean the airbox? I presume it should just pull out once you've removed the lid and filter, previous owner had broken the...
Exactly the same with a shitty old Escort I had but that even passed with a buckled rear wheel so I think the garage just didn't give a s**t to be honest lol
Lol. I hadn't noticed yours mate, is it really that bad? Yeah they're not dear I'm just being a tight git because I've already spent...
If you remove the airbox and look where the flywheel is, it's there just above the flywheel and yeah if it's dirty and gunked up it could cause starting problems.
Someone else was complaining about sticking, creaking gears. Their solution was to re-grease the gear linkage. To be honest though the gearbox isn't the Clio's strong point and I sometimes have issues with gear selection now and then.
I know I'm probably going to get "just buy a new one" after posting this but I'll ask anyway. lol
M.O.T is due soon and my rear wiper blade is split on the ends, it still wipes properly and doesn't leave the rear window all smeary but would a split wiper blade cause an M.O.T failure?
Edit...
Lol reading fail, just noticed the price in your post up there.
I'll probably see you there then mate, not to sure what time because it depends on how much mail I've got on tomorrow and hopefully my car won't start playing up like it has done today. Keep needing to bump start it to get it going.
