Tried doing mine in-situ, it's a pain in the arse trying to get at it so I took it off to do it (not that I've finished it yet ) plus all the dust that comes of it all goes in to the engine bay.
Lol The drive I did it on had a slight step down in the middle just placed the over there and jacked one side up. Yeah not advisable, I was s**tting myself all the time I was under the car because those jacks you get are made of cheese.
Also if you're not 100% certain of where the best place to...
Lol. Not to sure how I am to be honest, I once changed an exhaust on my Zetec-S whilst using the crappy jack you get with the car.
Dangerous times lol
I normally trust the stands to be honest, if you're worried though you could just pump the jack up and place it under the jacking point I suppose, you'd have be pretty unlucky for them both to give way lol
I got my axel stands from Halfrauds for £20ish I think and I got a trolley jack from Machine mart for around £30ish. Halfrauds do a kit that has both of them I think, or they use to.
If you get some, be careful when drive up them with the front of your car, I've broken my splitter twice on them and smashed one of my arch liners (the bit that goes under the bumper). Oh and if you've got block paving on your drive put something under them because they really scratch it when...
W4nkers! For the sake ££s they'll make a right mess of your car. Hopefully Karma will come in to play and they'll have a tragic accident at some point.
EuroCarParts do the mounts, you'll either need the part numbers when you ring them because you get the same confused responses or you have go in and explain what you want
Sure there will be someone who knows the usual thing to do on here but perhaps ringing up the DVLA and explaining what the seller has said to see if it is legit?
There was a big turn out last time and a hell of alot of spirited driving took place ;). It's the drag arse sunday drivers that normally hold things up.
On cam y0, cos it's French innit! lol
Yeah I agree, it's not the be all and end all to have good RR results, main reason I did it was just to see if it was down on power and to put my mind at ease. Although I wouldn't mind having that graph curve smoothed out a bit.
