Ha ha, I've seen it, when I get round to it my bro is going to help me make some self incriminating footage lol!
That was for your benefit! A few ott downchanges and plenty of engine braking = minor pyrotechnics now, none at all if you keep it under 4500rpm though!
That would have been me! On the way home from an epic 8hr Lakeside trip, 5hours of which was spent in stationary traffic.... I was just de-sooting the pipes!
Your only the 2nd person to notice and the first to guess the correctly diagnose the cause of the symptons!
I've used these before and they're ok, just hard to keep in touch with as they dissapear every once in a while and return with a new name:S. Optimistic power figures on their 'kits' aswell iirc
Jms induction setup?
Or cheap as chips, remove the acoustic valve and side pipe from airbox and get a k&n, itg, green etc air filter and keep an eye out in the for sale section for a second hand silicon elbow!
Too late tonight + alcohol... I'll have a go tomorrow. I did a 58.5 on lap 5 on the previous challenge and couldn't improve :dapprove:
Gt is Roachman bob.
All the cars mentioned above are all pretty close in real world performance terms tbh. Try as many as you can, I found the Clio the most fun out of what I tried and thats what matters to me:cool:
The optional 182 Cup packs were; cup suspension pack, slightly lower stiffer springs (and anthracite wheels) and cup spoiler(s) i.e splitter and rear spoiler. This is about the extent of my limited knowledge, if you see a 182 and a 182 with both cup packs pictured side by side you will see the...
I'm running 15x6.5 O.Z super T's at the moment, 195/50/15 no probs, still a 195 section tyre so as long as you have decent rubber you won't notice.
172 Offset is ET38 iirc? Can you try them on?
Do it, I've had mine for 20kish, first one the welds on the backbox cracked but they sent me a new backbox for free after jut one phone call, apparently they had a dodgy batch.
It won't be loud unless you have a decat obviously, a decent remap aswell will transform the car, don't worry about...
I've got a Milltek and decat, I'd have the Yozza though as there is only the single silencer box as opposed to two on the Milltek. Either of those and a remap from JMS will sort you out with a nice new soundtrack and new lease of life
I was looking into getting my wheels powdercoated as I'm lead to understand it's a much tougher finish? Got some quotes between £35-50 a wheel (15in) for a strip and coat but skint atm. Croatian carwash eroded my laquer and I'll be fooked cleaning them myself as they're white!
I take the money no object includes running costs?
In that case I'd build something capable of driving to the ring, Le mans etc. No f*cking about detuned F1 engine, for reliability (Renault) bespoke seq.gearbox, dash mounted a la Civic, lsd, petrol tank in the front under huge air scoop to...
I'm not keen on the idea of a turbo mk4, I hope it will be smaller than the 197/200 and weigh much less although both of these are unlikely :(
As long as the mpg is better than the above mentioned I'll consider one!

I bought one of these as I have to run it from my back...

These guys were mentioned in another thread, some slightly different wheels, some very speedline alike jobbies too! There is a uk importer too iirc.
Got the car back today as I've been out of the country.
A family member had to get the car out of the Renault garage (Ware) and take it back to the Formula 1 garage as they had not fitted the spacer and not correctly torqued up the rear hub.
All corrected (f.o.c) for now but I'll be running...
I have spoken to my local dealer, Ware garage, who have offered to undertake the warranty work. I've offered to take it to them for 3pm on weds but they said I would have to leave it with them as they need to investigate the problem and diagnose it. It's less than an hour job to change rear...
These are oe disks with the bearing pre pressed.
I have spoken to RUK and the 12month warranty is valid on these, but I need to find a Renault garage willing to undertake the work under warranty which may be a PITA as they haven't fitted them...
