Doom3 cant take advantage of dual cpu's im pretty sure cant take advantage of my 2nd core anyways.
Although a lot of newer games will be supporting multiple cpu's at which point that dual 2.2 will outperform much better spec'd machines.
And windows 2000 or XP can take advantage of both those...
Always sat in the carpark at the deane campus see it all the time just wondering if its anyones on here. Noticed uprated brakes and few other things on it.
its uncapped unlimited. and in tests my connection speed is putting out 615kb.s upload (yep 100kb extra) and 7.6mbit down speed. Although i will have a slightly faster speed than most due to my location. As i live in the city centre near the local exchange my mate whos 6 miles out only gets like...
the 8meg is really8 meg if you are close enough to the exchange and you find a server that has a fast enough upload for you to top out with your download.
But i have seen downloads of 950kb/s stable. on my connection although i am at the advantage that my local exchange i can see from my...
bulldog if things go wrong are god awful. but touch wood not had a problem with them and i cant fault the line. and 8mbit is less than £20 a month. Cant really complain with that. What i am currently using.
im really not sure what budget im willing to spend right now. Got £280 for headunit. around £300-£400 for sub and amp and then maybe another £300 to go for some components and an amp.
Doesnt have to be massively loud but not too quite after sound quality more than volume.
lol i agree but at the same time i can also see why people stick 6x9's on the shelf they do have some rather cool designs some of them and do look pretty nice at times.
sound quality for a lot of people is more than good enough until they hear something better.
My mate was fine witht he sound...
They are alright as a "cheap" system upgrade i mean you can get a fairly alright set of 6x9's with quite a loud output for £30 or so. and there alright if there not amped and just there to provide some rear fill. But i agree they do for the most part absolutely awful.
Although i do have to...
6x9's can have there uses but mainly only if your running them from a headunit to give your passengers a little bit of fill on the cheap. and at that point you wont really hear them. Which is a good thing.
As bryan said that system he put up woulda been a far better choice.
got myself a 4400+ at the moment quite happy with it sitting at 2.5ghz only using the stock cooling at the moment although i did manage to get a few benchmarks done with it at 2.7ghz which aint bad for stock cooling. Just wanted to see what it could do.
Alpine can create a better soundstage due to all the extra gadgets.
But id honestly just wait a little bit if you want the alpine 9855r it worth waiting till you can get that unit. Least then you got what ya wanted and its only £80 difference. Not gonna take long to save that.
i just wanted to say kenwood food processors and kenwood audsio equipment 2 different companies therefore saying they should make food processors wrong. i just felt like being annoying was in one of those moods.
just incase ya didnt know...its a different company one being american other being british :-P
But generally i like alpine units they may not be as pretty as most of the others but they sound good for the price.
But id love a nak unit.
My mates the same he would choose a kenwood over anything. Personally i think they dont sound as good as most other main stream makes and they deffinately dont look as good. Plus the amount of chaved up cars i see with HUGE kenwood stickers in the bakc just maeks me wanna say no.
And for £70...
Pretty sure its mainly pug and citroen that have the multiplex wiring so thats just crap.
I know it costs me a damn fortune to get just a steering wheel adaptor for my C4 though because of the multiplex wiring. and theres only 1 place that makes them so they can charge the £80 just for the...
yes they do, Got my 4400+ runnin on air at 2.7ghz (x2) although it was running rather a little toaster considering it was on the stock heatsink and fan will need something a little better when i have some money to spend on the computer. Next lot of money i get is getting spent on my car.
Theres a few pioneer units in that range there all basically the same just different colours / designs from what im aware of.

Have a look on there mate.
AMD64 cpus have the memory controller built into them.
And in socket 754 guise that memory controller is single channel only.
Dont believe me sure you can find it says it on the AMD website. 64bit memory interface = single channel 128bit - dual channel check the specs for the socket 754...
The socket 754 cpu is a single channel memory component only the onboard memory controller can only use single channel on that socket hence the reason we have socket 939 as well.
This means that the cpu is basically starved in a way and as a result so will the gfx cards.
Tried it on my own...
Its in pretty much every new board i have looked at. On my board then again my board has literally hundreds of bloody options to set. DFI SLI DR board though.
Why use a software firewall when the hardware based one on the router is massively better the software one is damn near pointless. Learn how to do port forwarding and it only ever has to be set up once.
It also uses resources on the computer that dont need to be used.
And i woulda said avoid...
