Just tired to have a pair of Kumho V70a track tyres fitted to my track wheels and the tyre centre said we cant fit them as one is 15 & the other 17 years old which is fair enough, and I thanked them for looking at the manufacturers date as I stupidly didn't as one had never been used the other...
I'll be off to my unwrap the Clio after work after it being sat most of the winter (used once since November), gonna drive it into work tomorrow and then out for a blast Saturday. Anyone else planning on dusting the cobwebs of their play thing this weekend, as the weather is good for most...
Ok so after @bloke posted his thread on these I took the plunge for my Mondeo as the RS3's where now at the end of there life (10k miles, mostly motorway, average speed 25mph). Paid £72 for 2 x 225/40/18 with next day delivery from EBay, initial thoughts where these are a bit poor, but once...
Wanting more track performance from the Clio but just cant justify the costs of cams, ITB, turbo etc. So my thinking is the above set-up on standard engine with a EFI basic remap coupled to intake and exhaust only. My box is in need of a rebuild so whilst that would be getting done I'd have...
Got a sessioned day at Oulton (6 x 20min) Friday and don't want to run out of grip. I'm thinking they should do if I shuffle them about during the day?
Still finding the seat position to high though, need to bin the sliders I think, but looking at it seems the seat would be to far forward. Anyone else had this issue with this set-up?
So my drivers Xenon had never worked and it's Mot time, thought it must be the bulb, nope, ignigter nope, so must be the ballast, so changed them around and on turning the lights on its blows both headlight fuses. Put new fuses in and changed around the ballasts as they where and the passenger...
Ok so purchased both Pagid handbrake cables from ECP to actually see if they fit as I've read posts saying they do and others saying they don't, good and bad news... the NSR fits fine as its the correct length of 1420mm, the OSR however does not as its only 1430mm which is 50mm short, so I've...
My drivers side is pissing about moving up and down and the rear beam sensor looks OK, so to pass an MOT I will need to disconnect them, what's the best way remove the fuse or just unclip from the headlight? I'll get the garage to adjust them manually before testing.
Bit nervous TBH as I've never towed using a car transporter and I'll be alone, once picked up I'm gonna find somewhere to practice reversing and parking without the car loaded. Anyone any helpful tips and advice? I'll be using the below trailer hitched to my Mondeo...
Need eyelets for the lap belts to fit my harness to the OE points but getting conflicting sizes on outer and inner bolts. Can someone please confirm the width, length and pinch required as I don't have to car to hand to check.
Thanks in advance.
Looking at a 4 point harness on ebay but the rear strap length from buckle to eyelet clip is only 5ft, does anyone know the minimum length from buckle, over shoulder, through seat to the rear seat belt fixing points on the 1*2? Surely it's longer than 5ft?
He says it's a saloon type but seems...
Interesting read from the NSXOC. I thought there would have been more in it.

Anyone want to swap some OZ/F1 15s for Clio OE 15s and cash my way :tongueclosed:
*just realised it's...
OK so just completed a flush and changed the thermostat but the system only took 5L. Thing is I couldn't get the lower rad pipe off on the right of the engine, so had to pull the one of the left side by the oil filter which is a little higher.
Flushed it through with water until clear...
Looking at 205/50/15 front and 195/50/15 rear fitted to OZ F1's 7J. Only cause I already have 2 x 195s and can get hold of 2 x 205s cheap, any issues with this set-up?
Seems a decent entry level seat, anyone ran one if so how wide are they internally, conflicting dimensions online, some state 410mm others 390mm. They need to house me with a 34" waste and my pal with a 38"...
Currently running RC5+ on Brembo HC discs and r888 tyres and find the pads totally lacking, good initial bite when warm going into a braking zone but really tail off mid-end zone and in long zones are pretty much none existent in the last 20% of a zone when hot, they also seem to be very...
In a dilemma on whether to sell or store the FF for the winter. The car wont be used now until April/May next year but I plan on moving it on anyway late next year for a new project. If I store I'd probably only do 2 track days then move it on anyway. Thing is we're saving for a house deposit so...
CL5+ pads on HC discs, can't get it to kick in, in the dry even on road tyres. Is this normal?
Brakes feel OK coefficient wise and stop pretty well and are all wearing evenly it just feels like the system is lacking pressure, pedal feels spongy as well but has been bled many, many times.
Just downloaded this for my Galaxy Note 4 using the internal GPS and well impressed with it, gonna use it at Aintree on Saturday. You can also use an external camera and overlay the data from RaceChrono onto the MOV.
So over the last few weeks I've been putting this into practice, first in the i3 as its easier being an auto then once confident enough took it to the derv daily, really getting the hang of it now coupled with heal & toeing but there’s only so much you can push it on the road without it being...
