Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
I like how Graham's thread has just turned into mount and exhaust discussion lol.
My two 65's both have the figure of 8 flange as you describe it, ala...
I have a decatted cat from a single small hole Clio, but no idea what engine it fits?
Graham, yours...
Diesels only get Smoke tested, no emmissions test, there is a new bit which IIRC says to do a Visual check for the cat, but it you're gutting it, obviously not an issue. Mine passed its MOT in Jan with no cat (or backbox!) with zero problems. Its a non-issue on a Diesel.
Bond the cat back...
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Ghetto cat is fine, Mine is deffo a lot faster (and clearly makes more power/torque confirmed by two RR days) with it.
Yeah, I'd get the bracket soon, as it really does make a huge differance, dogbones should last longer. I've only recently put mine back on...
The metal elbow out of the rocker cover?
Its for the oil breather, not a huge issue, but it shouldn't have come out of the rocker, or had the pipe come off the elbow?
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Mine are both legal (since they keep changing the fecking laws anyway) :D, I like the way mine sounds.
I'd like to change the exhaust etc, but I don't think its really worth it.
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Coming on well buddy.
I sprayed my subframe etc, much easier than painting it like that.
Cup wishbones too? It'll be nearly as good as mine :P
I decatted the black one today, I can do it super quick now.
Can certainly have a look.
I doubt its a cracked Mani, that sort of ticking is common with cats getting warm/hot, obviously not your issue.
As its not always been like that its obviously something that has devloped, Unsure tbh buddy.
For those of you (not many I know!) that have converted the rear beam from drums to discs, have you encountered any ABS issues?
I know Tom (?) who used to be at Wests didn't have a problem bar changing to 1.6/DCi 100 rear sensors (due to the plug), but even with the correct sensors, Mines still...
Pretty sure that's not the proper factory item.
Ph1 & ph2 are the same, but have a different plug (ph1 vs 182 anyway), but this can be changed on the window motor.
I wonder who makes the genuine pumps. TBH, with it leaking now, and renault not knowing when they are going to have them in, I'd fit a good quality pattern part.
Is it a cup?
The problem with it is theres a severe lack of space, aux belt isnt that bad to take off/put back on.
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
Pics just get funnier the more I look at them.
John the headlight's are broken I think Dan said.
On sports I normally go for genuine due to price (and the fact everybody loves genuine!!), but on this DCi, the genuine kit was a lot more than I could get a Gates kit for, Plus it includes a water pump (good quality too!). I still got lots of other bits from Adam at Wolvo though.
Gates make...
I'm a fan of neither lol
While I couldn't drive my car I did a few jobs that I'd been meaning to do. Refitted front gearbox mount, refitted undertray and a couple of other small bits, including changing the piss poorly painted fog light surrounds for un-painted items.
My car is now all back...
