Its lots of work!
Firstly, need to check if your dash loom has the wiring, I can't remember which relay it is, but it will be easier to undo the bulkhead connector and look for the pins, if it has the pins, happy days, it'll be easy...ish.
Other things you'll need is the larger twin pump...
100ml to 20litres of diesel, you can back track it from that figure to work it out exactly for how much you're putting in.
Exactly how mine was, Annoying but now solved and I love cruise control.
Clio_Squeak Cheers bud :)
I never intended to do a sport rep, until I found the kit for sale cheaply, and couldn't help myself! Glad I did now, as while the Ph3 front wasn't bad, I much prefer the sport kit.
2 stroke oil is suppoed tooo... Reduce engine noise, improve MPG, reduce smoke etc...
Heres how mine is bodged.
Had a look at it today while I had the front bumper off, intercooler sits too low, but thats because I need the proper brackets etc, which I think will be impossible since my AC rad is part of the coolant rad. But Anyway, I bent the top pipe really carefully, as I have...
Was busy playing GTA hence not replying to you buddy!
The noises it makes are extreamly weird. I'd expect some noise however due to the dogbone, but wasn't the squeak there before?
I also now wonder if the manifold is catching the subframe just slighty... Can move the drivers side engine...
Read through the entire thread this morning after dr jekll telling me too a while ago.
I love super clean cars, I really care for the work underneath that nobody really sees or pays attention to, having done the same on my last car.
However, I'm sure you have the same issue as I did, where...
Should be one from the end of the gearbox to the chassis, although think some later ones they changed this setup, I forget.
Loom earth to the right side of the engine, over the gearbox goes above the diff, it shouldn't be that hard to find. Thats the only ones I can think of right now, Can't...
Spray hammerite is all you need.
Done engines with it for years with no issues, only thing you need high temp paint on is the exhaust, which BBQ paint is the best for that, until you get it bloody hot anyway.
I prefer silver, on silver, on silver, done it this way many times and it always...
I'm in, Will try and get ParisPeach and tbunker1912 to come too.
Dan, Can you text me the day before/on the day to remind me too please, Very likely to forget.
I'm in Great Dunmow (north of Chelmsford from where you are), Will happily pop down for diesel money!
I can re-code injectors too, providing you get the number off the injector.
Colchester fuel injection are very good, but they aren't cheap, circa £130 + VAT IIRC from when I had mine done...
No, but its really easy to pop the end of the pump off and check for wear inside.
If you need a hand at any point, I have a fair bit of experiance with this after f**king around with it on my Clio and I have a decent diagnostic machine.
The pipe that comes out the top? I fixed it the other day. Bent the A/C Pipe very carefully. I can see if I can get some pics, took me a little while though.
Take it you won that one on ebay, I nearly bid on it as mines not in best condition.
I used rally design studs on my old Corsa track car.
Lengh, measure your wheels etc, and depends on your nut style. That is something you'll have to work out yourself.
Loads of people, myself included run 25mm alloy spacers (even on track) which the wheels are just bolted to, studs doesn't change how the force etc is applied.
Putting the studs through the spacer into the hub would cause more stress on them, so best to go with how the spacers were designed...
Mine worked without the dials being programmed, but cruise etc was switched off in the engine ECU, so can't imagine it working on mine anyway.
Plus mine was quite a low spec car, didn't have cruise wiring to start with!
I can't comment on the Engine ECU side of it, as I programmed that before realising the wiring was missing in the engine bay, but you do for the dials.
Its not that hard to do, I had an old engine bay loom that I got the pins from, its a bit of a pain getting it through the rubber grommit between the scuttle and engine bay, but I wanted it looking right.
I'll dig out the diagrams I was sent if you need them too?
