Power is just a number, more about how it drives. Yours could probably do with a few bits to improve that, but you'd end up spending as much on a 197 modifying it.
Did the cambelt last week, Have done a few things since but nothing amazing..
I did finally order all the bits from Renault Wolverhampton thanks to Adam....
Still some more bits to come.
Progress is good as always.
At least it'll be perfect once back together.
I don't envy the job of that exhaust wrap either. Had to do it on my old Corsa and I hated it tbh.
Full engine rebuild, at least paint the block, gearbox, powdercoat other pieces, new clutch.
Mind you, I've been there, done that, and I never put the car back together :/
If the lock turns, its the right key, but the barrel/plastic rod on the end will be broken.
Bonnet pin switch can be unplugged to prove its the issue too.
Now you say..... Mark, you can't fit that bloody headunit anyway, its terrible!
Depends what ones you went for. Some seem to be okay, My experiance is the same as Marks, that they break.
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
And I've not even had any bits off this one!
Good you got the engine out, even if it is the ***** way of doing it.
Wheel off, brake pad carrier 17mm x2, disc off 30mm, bottom shock bolt 18mm, three 18mm nuts with Torx head bolts for the hub, fourth I can't remember, it's smaller anyway. Pop off hub, slide spacer in, reverse of removal, bear in mind torque settings.
