Anyone tried this?? Ebay manifold and decat

In their advert it states: This high quality Four-branch tubular race manifold will replace the restrictive standard Cast Iron Manifold and Downpipe. That's not exactly right for starters.

    Love this! Oh wait...

(don's flame suit) That civic reminds me of the old lancia s4 rear end. Without the rear wing and the chopping of the bumper I could live with that exhaust being central like that.

    loud clunk when changing gear.

Random full stops are from typing on my phone, fat thumbs sorry.

    loud clunk when changing gear.

If I am honest with myself its under normal driving conditions, but when your giving it a little welly when changing gear there is a.bang through the drivetrain.

    loud clunk when changing gear.

Yeah I am on about engine and gearbox mounts. Had them all done at the Renault stealers when they did the cambelt

    loud clunk when changing gear.

Ph1 172 getting a loud clunk when changing gear and sometimes pulling away, pretty much when a lot of torque is put through the drive train. I'm only confused as I just had all new mounts fitted by Renault themselves.

    Arb white line alternative?

On a side note to this how much oversteer do the whiteline bars induce? Does the car become more snappy or does it remain fairly neutral? when I had my ph1 on track recently I thought it was pretty well balanced and don't know of it warrants a rear arb or not.

Syron Street Race. Anyone experienced these?

I am pretty sure they are going down to 15inch. And yeah I know they may sound dodgy but the company have been getting rave reviews and the "RACE 1" tyre has performed well against some pretty stiff competition such as Goodyear F1's and toyo tr1. Considering the price of them they seem very...

Syron Street Race. Anyone experienced these?

http://www.syron.eu/motorsport/ Has anyone tried these on track? been reading about the Syron tyres for a while and the reviews for the Race 1 tyre seem very good. I fancy trying this "street race" tyre on my next ring trip.

    Noisy engines 172?

I was just thinking the same thing about mine, sounds quite tappy on the top end. Mine has however done over 200km so its not going to be at its best.

Just won me some wheels - not even got a Clio yet!

Not a fan of huge spacers puts unnecessary strain on other components. make sure you get hubcentric if you do.

KW V1, B14's, Spax RSX or Konigsports?

After my trip to the ring this is my next purchase. A little off topic i guess but performance wise are coilovers and better than fixed platform dampers? To me fixed platform look much better value for money as you can get more bang for your buck I'm terms of damping rate adjustments etc. the...

    I smell coolant...

I picked up a 172 yesterday and was trawling through the forum looking for a few of the faults that mine has and I also have this. I would put it down to there being a pin-sized hole in the heater matrix as I noticed that when i put the heater on hot the smell was stronger. I just bought a...
