i would take it back to the dealer and say the centre section is shagged, it is classed as wear and tear but he should contribute seeing as its only a week
he probably didnt know , most dont know their arse from their elbow.
You need a coachworks / seat trimmers - try and find one with soneone old and experienced - budget £150-200 for one panel. Make sure colour match is spot on.

Well, theres no point in standing there looking at it running- you would want to drive it & at that point all of the above would need to be done.
Its only worth keeping for parts- its been ruined.

There is near zero point in restoring this car from a financial point of view. Its essentially A full restoration, which on a V6 would outweight the final price tag.

You will need to have some decent history to underpin the value-
Phase II ideally- Any ID colour sub 25k. with Full service + cambelt.

I seem to remember a few threads around smoking alternators and no surprises they all needed alternators
If you do need one its quite an expensive fix around £300 -
you would need a new alternator and full aux belt kit - make sure a specialist does it-
