Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
The brembo rear disks come with the SNR bearings so the same as genuine so i'm sure they will be fine Dan (Mallett) Hope you have a good time at the Ring, Wish I could drive mine on a TF day I would be there all the time lol
Haha lol sounds like a plan Mike ;)
No Kelv sorry, I bought mine from Demon Tweeks and I think when TDF originally fitted them they did the same. I'm sure what you have bought is the same though :)
I was speaking with someone at the Autosport show about this and they said that it was just the roadgoing class for this year with the Cup racers starting to race in it in 2014. Is this not the case anymore? Could you forward the details and entry fee's, control tyre cost etc over to me please...
Yes Mark thanks, I've seen those in the past and quite a good idea too!
At the end of the day it shouldn't be happening so it is what I would expect to happen and now I am dealing with somebody who see's it from my point of view and is trying to help rather than Alcon direct. My only concern is...
Already tried new nipples :(
I did wonder about stainless and did also see brass ones available. Mmmmm will see what happens once i've sent them back for looking at :)
Thanks for the suggestions chaps :) As said below I will see if they can be sorted out FOC and if not then I will have to look into the other options. It was just a shame to have to put the car back in the air and start taking it apart again after only getting it finished yesterday
Pictures of...
At the time I didn't have a clue about any of the kits and I would have happily had any of them but now I understand about all the options i'm glad I have the AT's over the DTH kit. When you fit ITB's Dan do you fit the DTH's or the SF's?
What do people think to me machining the threads off a bleed nipple so it fits in the calliper without needing to be screwed in and then use valve cutting paste on the face of the seat to lap a new seat?
Yes Mike could just use the standard setup but would mean new brakes lines, needing to buy new pads, disc's and get the knakered std callipers I have refreshed :( Plus would be a shame to waste the decent brakes, I'm sure i'll get them sorted :)
That's what I said Kenny lol! Nope just needs new casings on the calipers if it was just one that was the issue then it wouldn't have been too bad but its all the nipples so cheapest option was new (Which isn't an option for me)
Do you mean the actual setup or of the leaking/seat. I'm going...
Yes it was very kind of Nick :) And you when you gave me the aux belt at Oulton!! :star:
Haha, I'm sure I will do at least one race with them probably Mallory and maybe then Donington/Oulton but no point in me committing to it until I have the car up and running :)
Haha you will be left with a...
Managed to convince a friend to come over today to help me bleed the brakes and all went well and finished! Just checked the system now for leaks and all is okay except the two front Alcon callipers are weeping from the thread area on the bleed nipple. Looks like i'm going to have to get the...
Haaaaaha pmsl :p
Yes Stu as comprehensive as it can be when club racing and attending a race weekend when towing with a coupe roadcar. In the garage at home I have pretty much all the parts you mention plus panels, subframes etc but it's just not feasible to get them to circuit I do carry quite...
Thanks Stu I'm glad you think it's stunning :)
Yes it certainly is a racecar just the same as it was last season, I do want to go racing but for now the priority is getting the car back together and working well (A.K.A fast)
I'd like to think i've not compromised on anything to be fair don't...
Just a quick one if anyone knows.. I have got a few braided hoses that might rub on metal so I don't want them fraying I presume there is nothing wrong with using heatshrink over these just to protect them? I doubt it'll be an issue but just thought I'd check :)
Thanks
