yeah, give it a soak, and a gentle squeeze (top to bottom, not side to side) in soapy water. it does the trick.

i have got a cleaner kit. but all you really need to do is give it a soft rince in gently soapy water. dry it properly and oil it. k&n and green do cleaning kits that you can get from halfords, pretty cheap and lasts a while. mine is due a clean.

i had a very quick look under there earlier. everything seems to be fine and nothing rattling inside the cat. its just strange that the light keeps coming on :(

what kind of funny noise? just loud like a decat or strange swirling noises due to honeycomb section being broken? mine does sound pretty normal tbh. i will probably imagine noises now tho.lol.

a few people have said it could be the cat. is there any way of testing if the cat has gone? the car doesn't seem to be any lumpier, it doesn't really seem any louder (although it does sound like i have a slight leak somewhere), and it doesn't smell any more than usual tbh.

i wish i knew someone that would do that :( i would get a silenced decat mind.

no, the code just reads... DTC 01 I/M NO Fault 01 N/A 01/01 thats all i can get from the code reader.

my car has failed to start a couple of times in the past, and has also gone into 'limp mode' a couple of times in the last 4 months. the emmisions light is on and i have a code reader and have deleted the fault. the light has come back on again. deleted it again, within a few mins of driving it...

it would look a lot better than fitting a sport badge.

i prefer the 197 tbh. not keen on the front end of the 200 and an extra 3bhp doesn't really seem worth it. 197 cup for me

i have a very simelar junction just around the corner from me. its busy all day and some people leave the indicators on and dont turn etc. 3 crashes there last month!

still not 100% sure on the story how this happened. but i agree with what you are saying here. yes the other driver was also to blame, but he could argue that you undertook/were not paying attention etc. sorry to hear about this tho. gutted for you.

yeah. brake dust, shock oil, cv boot grease, tar, salt, water, heat. great combination! lol. white does look pretty good on black cars tho.
