Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
To be fair Dan if talking RRP's then K-tec list the Catcams RRP at £579+vat :rasp:
Fred is selling the GT's for £399 inc vat at the moment not sure if its an offer or permanent but that is the current price
Sell the car on now as is I imagine and just take a hit for the engine not being right or does it have other problems? A knackered engine won't fetch much money but if it's just the rocker cover that needs resealing then it's not the end of the world
As Adam says no aux kit there and also you would need a cam seal kit which includes the new bolt/nut for the cams along with the cap thing for the dephaser, You might need a new crank pulley bolt depending on length when you remove but worth replacing even if it's within tolerance :)
The quotes I get for racing come out at 2-3% of the value insured per weekend with 10% as the excess. So if like you say 50k then a weekends premium would be around £1500 with a 15k excess. The problem is if you cause 10k damage then there is no point in claiming as the excess is more. Would...
No worries ECP sell them and they usual have a few good discount codes if you can't find a 30% one then BIMFOR25 will get you 25% off.
No as Chip says that wasn't mine, mines still in a million pieces lol :)
Yes I have it on mine it's very good, I can't imagine how many times the wheels have been off mine last year but it must be in the hundreds and they have been no issue what so ever. They don't seem to have any issues being torqued when hot where the cheaper studs seem to expand so you tighten...
I was thinking the same for what I sold him too lol :)
Sorry to hear you've been messed around again Pete :(
Everyone thinks i'm the only one who's bothered about paint ;)
Yes the close racing is the big attraction for me and also would be nice to have tighter rules to stop expensive mods to remain competitive. Just a shame I can't use my car as not sure I can justify 2 clios lol
I personally would be happy with the 6 point cage. I look forward to seeing the full regs.
That's good then Alex of course slight rubbing isn't an issue but a hit at high speed would be my worry as its all too easy to be upside down in a tyre wall :(
Yes we had a good chat with them yesterday too Mike I think there are a few other things that I would want to see clarified too. The roll cage stipulation will be like quite other series out there and I guess they will have a deal with safety devices so that will be the reason for that. What...
Eibach camber bolts should still give a fair whack of camber adjustment, My AST's are slightly slotted (from factory) and with camber bolts can get well over 6 degree's.
As JackJack says I would be slotting the damper casing rather than the hub if you do have to slot them!
Yeah really lol! They tethered the cage to the rear seat squab and obviously didn't drop the tank, it had melted the tank and stuck it to the shell in three places so I had fun trying to drop the tank.
Thanks Russ :) just can't wait to have it back! I've got work to do in the meantime though as I'm helping out with the welding and painting
Yes sounds like a plan Russ and I think you are right shouldn't be long except the wiring!
