Nice one I will try and do that then :) Yeah as I say its only so I can check over the wiring, engine for leaks etc as don't want to waste Paul's time turning up if the sump is going to piss oil out for example :)
Thanks Colin, Yes I am :) I weighed it all the other night along with lots of...
Thanks mate i'll have a look, I need to look how to make it run Rich anyway just to keep it safe so will add it to my list :)
No lol I just thought Rich is better than lean?
Haha good work :)!
Thats a shame, there seem to be alot of races around June/July time will be hard on the bank account around then.
That is understandable lol! :)
I was going to say I need to change the map anyway to get it running as I have changed the crank sensor to a new genuine one rather than the bodged attempt that was on it (Different trigger pattern), Also probably just need to make it a bit safer till I get it onto the rolling road. I only need...
Ahh need to order two then by the sounds of it! Chip whilst you are here :) Should I swap to the megane injectors on the 421's + ITB's with the standard 182 fuel system? Thanks
Looking good mate :) I know what you mean some bits are a real strain, I'm looking forward to just bolting bits back on as I imagine you are! Not you ill aswell, hope you're better now. You coming to the Autosport show this week?
Update:
Just had to read back and see when the last update was as I loose all track with constantly updating Facebook and twitter and then only once a month or so on here!
Good news today I have finally finished all my part on the shell before it goes off for welding and painting.
Since the...
Does anyone know if the steering rack bushes are available separately from buying a new rack? Just putting all the subframe back together but will hold off if I can get new bushes?
Thanks
James
They are so ridiculously easy its untrue :) 175nm on the rear hubnuts and it's replace the hub nut (I never bother but mine gets checked every 20 minuets of use) Also make sure you leave the spacer on the stub axle
I was always under the impression that no matter what offset you had on the clio (from the available options) it was always in a positive scrub state? Sorry if I have got that wrong
I think what Evogone is probably saying and what I was also going to ask is how does the ET of the wheel affect the amount of Toe out/in you run? I obviously understand the more track width you have the car will have more roll resistance but that wouldn't affect the geo in the way you have said...
The complete kit is what I looked at a few moths ago the problem is it doesn't end there. The whole idea of fitting the kit is to rev it above 8k but when you do that for reliability you would want a forged crank (circa 2k) then you would need to find a solution to it wanting to spin bearings...
No it's not too bad Dan but it's time consuming. I probably spent a couple of days researching the engine loom on my car and then another day drawing out a wiring diagram and doing pin to pins.
You would need to understand what needs to be controlled by the Omex and what needs to be run by the...
I would say it's what I would expect to pay for that amount of wiring and mapping and for the ease of going 20 mins up the motorway to Leeds I would do that Dan. Any further issue's or changes you want to make aren't going to be a 2-3 hour drive.
Ahh so a fair but of wiring to do then, I was going to say to Dan he should fit the ECU himself and then it just needs mapping but that will be more tricky if it doesn't have the connectors on
