mine pops so much now on de-acceleration cos of the de-cat, sounds superb!

I normally work the pedal progressivly up to 4k then slam the pedal down to open up the powerband. On corners i try to keep the powerband open so i can pull out of the corner with some pace.

Mines 1 notch at the back around 40mil. and around 35/40mil at the front

No ben, has been dented on the silver rim, need to get it sorted asap! Cant believe it happened, well gutted about the rim. ill put my phase2 rim on the till i get it fixed.

My mate had the racing puma. I raced him many many times. In a straight line my 16v was slightly faster, however on corners it did handle very well. But he would never get away from me.

bollox. I have video evidence of my car pushing a 106GTI (chipped,zorst,filter) down the dual carrageway up to 130mph. I was closing fast expecially after 70mph. People at RR have seen this vid. 106gti has as far as i know same engine in VTS.

The willy does weigh more than the 16v. Just think it has a bigger engine but everything else is more or less the same.

Interesting topic. When i got first got my car (i was young 19) and didnt know much about engines at all. Some lad who owned a VW16vGti said if i drill some holes in the airbox it sounds wicked....................so i did:o Perfectly round holes only underneath and facing the front if the car...

Up to 80/90 the VTS is a contender for the 172/willy/16v. After that it loses momentum, and the larger engines should pull infront. I have raced a modded 106Gti (chipped) and 0-60 he was slightly ahead, after 80mph i was pushing him down the dual carrageway.......all recorded on video.

16.6? well you saw some shagged valvers mate, my terminnal speed was about 88-91mph. just like i must have obviously raced a shagged 172 lol
