I would so love it if CS did another karting meet.
But this time one of the big, 3hr enduro, team races.
@Sunglasses_Ron @Cub. @Nik Sorry to swerve the thread for a second, but do you think an event at, I dunno, Milton Keynes, or Seven Sisters (one of the good circuits anyway) would be doable...
?
This place sticks scene tax on anything that can be bolted to a Clio, let alone the car itself.
I get your meaning though, a well looked after forum car is a better bet than a dealer-based FRSH low-miler, and may be a bit cheaper than autotrader
The lightweight measures of the ph.1 cup were made entirely pointless if the driver didn't take a dump before going out for a drive.
And given the only real noticeable difference was that the Cup car was easier for someone to nose into a wall when the driver runs out of talent and locks up all...
One should also be the other.
because "having some fun" on the queens highway isn't actually hard or cool. Neither will it make the local teen need-girls get girl-boners
Thats becasue it's a Corsa. You can't polish a turd.
Find yourself a decent, stock machine. Then go to some CS meets in your area. Each is likely to have been "improved" in some way, then you can judge for yourself how to burn your money.
Alternatively, 1 sack of genuine, Apple branded, magic...
You're paying, almost exclusively, for the colour.
The Cobras weren't standard but they're better than the stock units.
It;s still overpriced, and the mileage on the cambelt is academic, it needs another one, so you're now looking at a £5k Clio.
a £5000, 10 year old, Clio.
Would you be...
errrrr..
You mean the Renault of THIS era?
because that foresaw what hot hatches would become a decade before it happened, cost a fuckton to make and is amazing....in fact, I think it may even be smaller than a 200T
Of course, it was ruined by having no diesel option and french electrics...
How you slim jims cant get in and out of Exige is confusing.
I'm the size of a small moon, but can leap in and out of the elises and exiges without a problem.
Cups were cheapfrom the dealers, and they're in no way rare or special enough to warrant a premium over a "normal" 182.
Personally, a base 172 ph.2 is my idea of what a 2nd gen clio should be. All toys, no chavzorst, quick enough. 40mpg, cruise control
'Cup' is just a 182 Clio with a poverty-grade interior, sold to people to be track-warriors with.
If you're one for modifying your cars, no point at all, the 'cup' bits you'll end up removing anyway.
So, as above, just get a 'proper' 182, the one with some leather, cruise control, climate...
