Did they use the full GP circuit?
If so, yeah, I bet it was like a ghost town! The International loop would be more than enough for most series. Hell, BTCC stick to the National, tiny track.
If it was 1 cone, you wouldn't lose all 4 in one go.
Sounds more like the connector in the back of the headunit.
Also, unless you're about to fit an amp too, those new speakers are going to do not better than stock (Unless tock units have blown, of course). BUT, it means you're all set to add...
One of the RB Young Driver academy.
Really should go this next year, given it's pittence to get in. I guess what we see ther is standard attendance for non-F1/BTCC/Superbikes/Moto races in the UK
If you map the ECU to account for the new parts then maybe. Maybe.
But given how even a free-flow zorst wont give a 5hp gain on its own, how would a marginally improved inlet provide double?
Not saying impossible, but sounds more than unlikely, or iPhone app power-testing
You'll get to pull bits of your engine apart, put it back together and forever hope that disturbing it hasn't started the countdown to collapse.
You'll also make 0hp more than before
In fairness, my old 172 showed up as a Megane Diesel on all the search boxes on Kwik Fit, Confused.com etc.
It can happen. Probably got imported on Bastille day
Could be that it was a "replica" that then had a 2.0 put in it.
But that would be both pointless to do, and worthless to buy.
Given that Clios are 2-a-penny, just look at another one that doesn't have an identity crisis. No matter what you think makes this one special, there'll be one as or more...
The pioneers will drop in fine, but the wiring will be duff.
You'll need to wire in crossovers and new wiring to the tweeters. You're going to really enjoy taking that dashboard apart ;)
Honestly, for your budget....

Sound deadening (if you dont add at least some sort of...
182 bodykit is a lot more than just slapping on new wings too, you may want to consider not doing that.
Indeed, just run that one until you think you're in a position to run an actual 182 instead, maybe? Insurance could bite you on the ass if you start doing obvious modifications.
Still...
If it's a big enough whack to bend the boot floor, it's going to take more than a £50 bumper cover to get it presentable, surely?
True, we have no pics to be sure.
By the time you've boughtg it back and fixed it, would you make anything back? I dont know, but doubt it.
Of course, buy it back, asset-strip any bits you've added and bolt them to another. Sell the dead husk.
You wouldn't be the first to scrap a clio, and you wont be the last
"minor boot floor damage"
Yeah, if anyone was looking to buy it at even a vaguely normal price, one look at that folded metal will have them walk.
Basically, no. no 172/182 Cat.D is worth spending money on. Just take the insurance payout and buy another one.
