182... what upgrades would you fit to your perfect spec road car?

Honestly. Probably not by a great deal if at all. However it’s my interpretation of what I want from a road going focused road car. See the mods on the car as I’m sure you can see are all changes that can be enjoyed at all speeds. They’re all designed enhance everything we already love about...

182... what upgrades would you fit to your perfect spec road car?

Oh wow, I’d forgotten you were there that day too Rob. And there are those fabled RX8s. @Greeny and I were talking about this just the other day. Those fellas made me open the bonnet to prove the car was stock 🤣

182... what upgrades would you fit to your perfect spec road car?

Haha. Well Dan you can at least see where this thread started and you’re probably the only person here that witnessed it as a totally standard car on track too. 😂

182... what upgrades would you fit to your perfect spec road car?

Lol 😅 I should also add that the addition of the Recaros means the rear seats are just for decoration now as you cannot get anyone In there now. Nobody else ever rides in my car so this isn’t an issue for me. But there aren’t any tilting seats i like anyway.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Just because I had to pop to the supermarket today, and this thing always looks bonkers in the sunshine. 😎

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Well it was even, but evenly miles out haha. Where the track rod extenders drop the TCAs down, they pull the arms of the hubs in and effectively toe the car out massively. I did the camber with a spirit level clamped to the disc and got it to within half a degree of eachother. Still crap, but...

Where did you manage to source those Dan?

    197/200 Brembos on 182 with 280mm Discs

Titanium has pretty low rate of thermal conductivity. Widely used in shims to back brake pads and reduce heat transfer to the pistons and thus the Caliper body and fluid. I run titanium shims on my Cayman R as it’s quite popular with the Porsche guys who track their cars. Personally if you’ve...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Coolant bottle finally turned up so fitted that, filled and bled the system with new Renault type D coolant. New TCAs assembled and fitted. All hub hardware checked, double checked and marked before running it down the road to my local tyre shop to get the geometry setup. The short very slow...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Project lockdown continued today with the arrival of a new PAS switch to try and cure my PAS leak. Still no coolant bottle arrival so that will have to wait. Anyway, I fitted the new PAS switch which hopefully does the trick. Also decided to bite the bullet and crack on with the roll centre...

it’s water based so not hardy if it gets wet until it’ had time to dry. But after lots of applications the plastic seems to absorb the product and it lasts longer and longer. its a long way from any coating, but it’s a very versatile product that finishes well

Lock In day 437 and reason 56732 why the neighbours think I’m mental. First job was to bleed the brakes after the lose swap yesterday. So that was just a top up of Motul RBF600 as I had flushed and replaced the fluid over the new year. Then I dropped the front off WZD to swap the rad. The new...
