Spacers fitted, but it wasn't like that before I fitted the coilovers.
LOL Scott! I know, I know. usually I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole either!
Ah, Well I asked for alignment! So they might not have touched the camber at all then? I know I should've asked for it, but it's clearly out! Surely that should be done as well?!
Fitted my coilovers today, and got them aligned. Stupidly, didn't get a printout so going back tomorrow to get one.
However, just noticed my passenger side front wheel sticks out further than the driver's side!?!

I've seen various threads about the MK2's, but my MK3 now with AP coilovers, is knocking at low speeds.
Noise is coming from the rear. I noticed the springs for the rears are very short. The adjuster is set at halfway at present, so my ride height isn't drastically low.

Got lows! Coilovers fitted earlier, and alignment now done. Just need it to settle and next weekend I'll check the measurements on the height out. Won't be going much lower though than this. Maybe....
Will also be fitting my new studs and Petrol Chrome Tuner nuts.

Ok, that makes sense! Will measure up the threads and see that drop I get. I think as standard these coilovers are 30-90mm on the front, and 25-75 on the rear.
LOL! I'll be going lower dude, but not that low. I still have a steep driveway to navigate, and the roads round here are a mess.
Plus I'm pretty sure slamming the shocks will shorten their life dramatically.
BTW, another stupid question: When people say I've got a 60mm drop, etc. How do they...
Hey Kelly.
With regards to alloys, it's all about personal preference. Have a look through the threads on here though and you'll find loads of different ones!
Are you planning to lower the car at all?
Don't forget to check out http://www.cliodci.net too. :)
See! Bloody headlights are a nightmare on these MK3's. Had to take the bumper off mine too because my massive man hands couldn't change a bulb on the passenger side.
So I've got myself some AP's now. Top mounts arrived, and I've been putting them together. Now, stupid question time. How far down should the top mount nut go? I've tightened both sides up so there is about 5-6mm of thread showing out the top. Does it need tightening down all the way down the...
It's not a car, but with the bike, I fire it up every couple of weeks, keep it under cover (luckily I have a garage too for it), move it about to stop it being sat on the same spot on the tyres for so long (keep them pumped up too), and that's it.
Battery hasn't even needed to be left on...
Lol! I don't think I'd have the talent, just the hope that the diesel smoke emitted would blind the others and lead me to victory!
(Off topic - got a text today to say delivery is tomorrow, so thanks again :) )
Might pop down to this then. It's not far at all, and considering I miss CSS this...
Cool. Just toying with ideas that will probably never come to fruition! :D
A remap on the 86bhp model I've got should see it kick out about 105-110bhp, with torque going from 200nm to 240nm.
Just had a quick tot-up:
2nd hand injectors: £200 a set
Ultrasonic cleaning for injectors: £100 a set...
Interesting. I suspect though it wouldn't be as easy as bolting on the turbo and bigger injectors though and expecting the same output. For example, getting a 106 turbo and injectors and fitting them to the 86bhp engine.
