If they're bad, I would suspect you'll need to get a wire brush attachment for your rotary tool to get them off, then polish from scratch. So to speak!
That'll be from road salt and grime.
Clean them down, and then get to work polishing. You'll need an angle grinder/ drill with polishing mops and compound.
Lots of how to guides on the net - do a quick google. ;)
So, I like to think I have some mechanical knowledge.
The 1.5 DCI's, specifically the Mk3. Obviously there are 3 variants. The 68bhp, the 86bhp and the 106bhp.
What is it that creates the power difference between them? I would assume turbo first of all, but is the Engine Management different...
I'm more of a biker than a car man to be honest, but I've made an effort with this club. I did ClioSport last year as a brand new member and Clio owner.
I moreso go to have a laugh and meet people. Probably won't track my car though! LOL.
Not had a problem in 4000 miles with them so far. As I said earlier in the thread though, I'm more of a cruiser. I don't go hooning round roundabouts, or seeing how fast I can get through the twisties. I'm no slouch, but I'm driving a 86bhp 1.5 DCi.
Never had a problem stopping in the wet or...
The image posted earlier in the thread is a different variant of NS2 (Sportnex) I believe. These are Ultrasports. I'm running them on my car now.
Imprezaworks: The £37 quoted is in the size above, is correct for the Ultrasports, as they are in the picture on Camskills site.
Mk3 Interior Trim - aluminium dash strips in particular.
Does anyone know the paint code for it? Want to match the heater controls/ stereo surround in the same colour.
Got them on my Clio. Never had a problem. All this rubbish about poverty spec, ditch finders.
If you drive like a t**t in poor conditions then you've only got yourself to blame.
Had them on for about 4000 miles now and had no issues - rain, snow, or in the dry. Then again, I'm not hooning...
Depends on your mechanical knowledge. The rears are very simple. Jack up both sides, put axle stands in place. Then 1 side at a time, put jack under the trailing arm, as you unbolt the lower shock bolt, lower the jack down as the hub, etc, will drop. Springs can be a tight squeeze to get out and...
Link doesn't work as you can't link from your own pc. Upload them to Photobucket or similar.
As for the insurance, I wouldn't suggest misleading them about the wheels personally.
Check here for other Renault fitments: http://www.alloyguide.com/Renault.php
Nice car. i also went from a Vectra to a Clio! :)
The vent surrounds should pop off. They're tight, but carefully pry them off and you should be able to get to the vent.
Oh right, haha! Hello mate!
If it's just a penny washer, say, you can get them online, B&Q, Halfords, etc.
Like here for example: http://www.qvsdirect.com/M10-Penny-Washers-10mm-pr-19175.html
For the Rear shocks?
I did ask Adam, but they only come with the shocks. I'm going to measure mine up though when I take them off to drill them out, and then see about getting some made up for the new dimensions.
(Not sure if it's the same for MK2's, but this will be on a MK3 with AP coilovers...

Yeah, I just simplified it. ;)
To the OP, save your money. Insurance is bad enough as it is. I've waited till now to do any serious modifications to any car, and I'm 29!
