To be brutally honest I think you'll find extremely few people outside of Renault will have done any specific numbers. It all comes down to cost vs gain. There's that old saying which is VERY applicable:
80% of a result comes from the first 20% of cost. The last 20% of performance accounts for...
Does the idea of measuring toe (at an inevitably different radius depending on the car/operator) as a distance rather than an angle mildly infuriate you, or is it just me? :p
Elephant/Admiral/Bell/Diamond (all one group) are generally the cheapest for non-modified Renaultsports with youngish drivers.
Lots of companies may appear very competitive on normal/low insurance group cars but won't insure young people on quicker cars. E.g. Aviva were £400 for a...
This is becoming two threads in one but people are forgetting the practical difference between SSDs and mechanical disc drives. It's all about whether seek time is a significant % of total read time. Yes, of course an SSD is faster loading a few big files (e.g. a level in a game) but it's...
Fair enough on the latest-drivers front - I'll hold my hands up for that one.
Historically though it's difficult to argue that nVidia haven't had generally more stable drivers than AMD/ATI over the past few years.
On that note I'm out because this thread is just going to bring out the...
You (and quite a few others on here recently) seem to be getting the wrong end of the stick. But seriously, fundamentally wrong...
It's YOUR personal circumstances that dictate your premium. Of course prices vary between companies but some people on CS seem to think there must be some magical...
Please do not make the mistake of thinking 60GB will be fine if you want to have your most used programs and the odd game (10GB each these days) on the SSD. You do a fresh install, see 45GB free space and think brilliant.
A service pack or two, a year of windows & driver updates, MS office...
So, earlier today I noticed my bonnet switch all mashed up dangling infront of the rad which (I thought) would explain why I get the long "total closure failed" beep when I try to lock my car (182, manufactured jan '05)
Brilliant I thought, I have a spare which came with a new bumper, fit that...

PDF in post #2 AFAIK. Perfectly conceivable that Renault could have updated their numbers since 2005.
Did you read the series of VOSA emails in the pistonheads thread that was linked to?
Basically the answer was extremely confusing. Every single car has a different road legal noise limit because there's no one body that decides the noise limit: it's partly the manufacturer, EU regs & IIRC also...
Yes but if you're (I don't mean you personally of course) sticking to that argument (which as you say every car manufacturer would) then they can only blame the first one on poor maintainence, and possibly charge for subsequent ones, like this example...
Richmond Renault (central...
Free - it's a warranty recall.
IIRC the first time the letters started appearing (mine was dated 2007/2008 IIRC on my old 182) though it was clearly a clio-wide product recall and would be replaced free under warranty Renault blamed the failure on "improper maintainence" - I wonder if...
I took mine to a dealer and they just had a search on the system, confirmed it hadn't been done and booked it in - no letter needed.
Edit: though I'm sure there's a fair chance that some dealers wouldn't be as accommodating if you don't have the letter.
Popular ones are the:
Yozzasport (old version of the BTM system) - sounds good, but too noisy for some
New BTM system - most reviews say it still sounds epic, but a more friendly noise level
Ktec sport/supersport - at the cheaper end of the spectrum, still stainless etc. Deeper noise rather...
Let's be honest here...
2118, turinis, superleggeras, F1s etc anthracite or white. Doesn't matter, you can't go wrong. Any of those will look stunning.
White would be rather contrasting, whereas anthracite would be much more subtle.
Don't really understand the engine lineup. "Eco TCE" and "Eco DCI" engines seem pointless compared to the "Eco2" versions of each which have same power/torque output but better economy, lower emissions and are nigh-on the same price?
Clio 4 is getting good reviews.
Best bet is to put the passenger in the rear (behind the driver), then fold down the passenger side rear seats and tilt/slide the front passenger seat forwards.
Came up on FB earlier, really enjoyed it.
I thought it rather glossed over the "racing into the night" and the "still got 7 hours to go as the sun comes up" aspect BUT, loved how it captured all the other bits that make spa special.
Being in the middle of the Arden, the rolling fog, the...
Went to look at cat/mani rattle & realised I've left my tools at work.
So, gave it a wash instead.
Then went to look at cat/mani rattle & realised that I've already realised I've left my tools at work.
In that order.
Bit of an awkward one to do via a forum! It's not a difficult thing to want to do, but there are hundreds of silly little ways you can get stuck.
Firstly, and I apologise for this, make sure you're putting a DVD/CD in a DVD drive and not a CD into a DVD drive. It's easy to forget that CD drives...
