Cup for me every time over a standard phase 2. There are performance advantages, and listening to some people on here the normal 172 is some kind of Rolls Royce inside................... It might be if you call plastic blue seat covers 'leather'.
Saying that i'd now probably have either a 182...
They are pretty focused, buit if its on standard springs/dampers, nothing like you're describing. Check the springs, should be black with white/yellow markings on them
oohhh how you find the springs? Was thinking of a slight drop for my Cup
Couldnt measure from the lip to wheel centres when you get a min could you? (pref not on the drive with the handbrake on as this lowers the rear)
Cheers
Well again ive had both, and ended up in a GW 197 Cup. I love it, perfect for me. Better built for sure, non of that constant buzzing/rattling that you get in a MK2. I don't agree however that a 197/200 is more torquey than a 182, simply not true imo. The Mk2 gets the big engined small car feel...
Ktec stealth's are loud and boomy, I've had two (and removed them both). They drone right @ 60-70 mph, great that considering thats where you spend most of your time cruising! If you want a decent system, Yozza or BTB Stealth. Nothing else
Summed it up mate............... Anybody who actually use's the car properly will agree. People like jase on 197 only used theirs to pimp/'stunt' about in ;)
Oh, and also factor in rear arch resprays as when running 25mm spacers stones will pebble dash the rear quarters
