Good point RE RMG, JD - oops! Although I have both, I can't remember the last time they were used.
RE G101 Kane, go with JD - you don't want to use it neat! 1:4 will be fine (something like 1:10 for interior usage etc)
"he has a write up for us", urm.. the TT? haha
Wheels > pre-rinse > pre-wash > wash > clay > rinse > dry > glaze > wax.
You've got it, Lime Prime Lite essentially does the same job as RMG - it's either one or the other. What wax are you using?
Do you have a foam lance? (snowfoam) You can always fill this with G101 and use as a pre-wash to...
Thanks chaps.
Yellowbelly, any joy on your pictures yet?! The wheelie stools I think were snap-on; they have the chap come round on a regular basis - a lot of the kit there was quality stuff tbh. (the wheelies are great for the odd race, too! ;)
Cheers
Volkswagen Golf R32 mkiv – Major Paint Correction Detail
I was invited over by Jonny from Pure Detail again in the North West to lend a helping hand on the Golf. It was booked for his “purest” detail; a wheels-off, full interior, engine bay and major paint correction.
On the first...
Thanks everyone. Yeah, it was a bit scabby before hand which is a shame; it would never come up perfect that's for sure. Bit of a love/hate thing with the wheels I think - personally, yeah, I liked them (sat very well indeed tbh)
mkiv R32 in Deep Blue Pearl will be posted soon.
Thanks everyone.
Recognise the car or the location? It's local, yeah. Well, ~30 mins from me.
Very much so, Scott. I quote "absolutely thrilled with the car, had a crowd around it at the office!" :approve: Hopefully will get to work on his 'toys', too.
Sorry chap - I didnt see this...
I won't lie, the bonnet catch left me confused for two/three minutes... I'd dropped a little swab used to remove residues out of the panel gaps etc in the engine bay and needed to retrieve it, theres me trying to look underneath the grille for signs of a trigger/lever that needed a tug. :o :D...
Nope. They had no idea. Pretty shocking really, eh? They didn't seem too bothered - they've had the car 3-4 years and never spotted anything... (just that it was a little 'grey' and was ready for a polish lol)

VW Corrado G60 – ‘Ultimate Dubs 2011’ show prep
A year goes by since Adam last had his Corrado on display indoors at the International Centre in Telford for Ultimate Dubs. One or two visits to the bodyshop, a few thousand miles and a couple of subtle mods later, it’s that time again…...
You know me too well buddy.
All will be revealed tonight hopefully - they'll be posting their thoughts in the A3/S3 section.
Following this job, I've ordered some wool pads. No stopping me now :D (in readiness for this mkiv golf next week)
Cheers Adam. See www.WhiteDetails.co.uk for more...

Thanks guys! This time last year I was working on:
(...can you guess what it is?!)
TickledOrange, where did you spot me? I had to run out to collect Father from the tyre-shop!
Audi S3 – Major Paint Correction Detail
I was contacted via the Audi-Sport owners club RE a detail to a black S3. Having been a member here for some time now, (my old Audi A3 1.8 Sport, A3 1.8T Sport, S3 and current A4 Avant) you could say I was a bit of a fan!
Going back two...
thanks thanks thanks & thanks!
the start of two days on a black Audi S3 today. Hmm. Going to look GREAT when finished. Needless to say, watch this'ere space! :D
Forgot to add this to the report:
I had it in (again) the day before the Classic. I'd hoped to keep hold of it until the classic had been finalised for a mini-photoshoot! :approve:
Yeah, I'm pleased they came back for the correction in the end - really was shouting out for more!
The Fez...
Mini – John Cooper Classic – Major Paint Correction Detail
November 2010, I put this car through a Winter Protection Detail to strip it of all exterior contaminants, to cleanse and to protect the paint. At the time, I asked the owner if they'd like me to demo a Minor Paint Correction Detail...
uhuh. I have it on my Avant and have applied it to two other customers' cars currently being used as test mules. So far so good (and we're 3 months in and ~2k miles)
Claims up to 2 years protection or 30,000 miles?! Something like that. Ill probably end up using it as a 'bolt-on' to my already...
Nope, all hand work. The bucket was my rinse water for the cloth.
Leather was cleaned with LTT's Auto Ultra Foam and the wiped with a wet microfibre to hydrate.
Holy crap, JD, that bonnet looks ruined! Yeah, granted the bonnet had been sprayed so it wasn't factory, but the likes of the pic of the N/S rear wing, that was standard paint and was laughing at me! Crazy how much difference there can be between the same car and a couple of years in...
Aston Martin DB7 Volante – Major Paint Correction Detail with Interior & Leather Care.
Job performed at a Dealership in Leics.
The car wasn't in the best of conditions; hazy and scratched paintwork, a grubby interior and a roof full of sand (life on the coast!). No way would the car fetch its...
