    Well he said he has to use standalone management because of it so i don't think it's possible. imo if we find out a pump swap or lift pump won't work, fitting a smaller pulley is the easiest way. Only downside i can think of is the pump will wear faster.

    Here is a nice thread of a fiesta 1.6tdci on passionford: http://www.passionford.com/forum/showthread.php?t=432786&styleid=5 made 156bhp and 260lb/ft with just basic mods, should be possible with a dci too when the fuel system is sufficient enough.

    I disagree on that statement, torque will always have a peak and then drop of as a result of revs. That's just laws of physics. However it is possible to map out the torque peak to prevent gearbox/clutch breakage and then indeed torque could be flat from 2000-3600.

    One thing i do wonder though, torque is always said to be the cause of breaking gearboxes. however i had a 2.0 turbo with unknown torque but it broke traction in second and occasionally in 3rd. if the torque from a diesel is higher but doesn't break traction, isn't more hp with less torque more...

    I have the 2 side by side and can't see why the 02m will be any weaker tbh. afaik they're proven at over 800bhp launching with 4x4. First thing to let go is the housing around that sort of power, rips open at the bearing end.

    Why don't you just use a 02m bellhousing mate? Iirc the 02Q housing is a tad deeper so may cause clutch problems too.

    Could be worthfull to try and fit a clio sport intank pump. regarding the bottom-end, i'm lucky having a dci 100. would be interesting what bob finds out! If it turns out the pump flow the same then probably it's because of the lift pump which would be great news!

    No exactly the same, only the left one is a little bit lower so it was a bit of a stretch with the original hoses.

    just fitted the dacia intercooler, it's only mounted with a few zipties atm but i can tell you it fits like a charm! only had to cut of a few small bits and it sits perfectly now. made a few pics for reference:

    Found it after searching part databases, measurements where given so i could make a good comparison. i think the hose connection are a bit wider from eachother but anyway makes for a good priced intercooler :) cost €157 here in nl but after searching the pn on google i found daciashop :p

    imo if an engine is healthy acl won't help a thing, isn't the oil film suppose to lubricate and keep the journal from touching the bearing?
