If it's leaking air which it sounds like it is yeah.
It might be leaking air I have to check tomorrow morning. Only place I can think of. That would be the issue. I don't imagine it be anywhere else? What other places are there that can leak air? Before entering the engine?

Have you got an air leak somewhere?
Come to think of it I've been due to change the inlet manifold gasket I keep not changing it. Could that be causing the high idle issue?
I Don't know. Maybe the inlet manifold is the only one that comes to mind? I only just had the guys down at two tecs do a full cambelt change.
It was idling badly before. It felt fine yesterday but it was only this morning I noticed it. If I rev with the accelerator tightly it stops it though...
So noticed this more today. While my car is cold, until it warms up, the car is idling at like 1.2k - 1.7k. And it's revving its self too. Is it just something to expect on these engines?
Cheers ?
Ye me and wife ended up getting bus to bluewater. Had a day at blue water, was worth it though. Car feels like new.
? Just need to sort out my farting exhaust and it'll be wonderful.
Spend a load of money on the old girl, Got the good folks down at two tecs to do a cambelt/defaser pulley/waterpump/aux belt change while I Spent best part of the day taking in the sights of Dartford...?
Cheers lads forgot to say its out. I got drill bits but my old drill gave up the ghost before I got anywhere. So got a good mech mate to pop round drill, then smacked a hex bit with a socket attachment in and wound it out.
I picked up a set of 25 bolts from screwfix (couldn't just buy one ?)...
Hehe I remember my 1.2 and making it boy "rice"ry. Mine has lumpy idle too. Getting some people in Dartford to sort it. But I'm having everything changed. Cam/defaser/water pump. Should run like a dream they specialist's to so that helps :P. Hopefully lol. Tell you after Tuesday.
I'll give it a go today. I always use a jack to align the beam with shock. It went in smoothly by hand. I just don't get my it snapped, just the last few turns with a torq and it went. Proper anoying.
Hoping a mechanic mate can pop round he's got colbolt bits. Or I heat it up and wind it out...
I've got a drill. Can't move it at all atm. I've got some new bolts though at least. Hoping to get a mate to help me get them out. Sucks I can't move the bolt atm :/
Gonna give it ago today. I've soaked it in wd40 over night and I've got some long nose mole grips in gonna try move it. Normally snapped bolts move with a hammer and screwdriver, like my snapped wheel bolts from jerks-r-us who do them up way to tight. Will give it a go if not might get someone...
It wasn't that tight. It just went. Was doing it up with a hand torq wrench. And not even fully in lifted it up and snapped. Was shocked to say the least. Cheers. That be appreciated.
Cheers man
This afternoon was fun.
Changed my exhaust quite the fiddle. Everything went well. Removed the shock bolts to lower the axel so I could get the old exhaust out. All back together.
Just to put the shock bolts back.
Greaaaaat. I've not managed to move it. Seems pretty stuck in there. I've...
I'm not talking about the center mount or the two rears. I mean the 3rd exhaust hanger the one behind the rear mounts that looks like set of handlebars. Is there an uprated version I can get to hang the milteck exhaust I got recently? Or should I try and prise off the old rubber ones and use...
Nice 182, Im weight up cars at the moment. Dont want to get rid of my 182 love it. but recently i feel im spending money to keep it alive rather than actually for drive-ability ?. Whats the vw up gti like? A old mate of mine owns one said it felt quite fun? Its only 1.4 isn't it? Is the wheel...
stretched and budget should not be connected with tyres in the same sentence ?
Did the prev owner spend all his money on the wrap and brought what im assuming are fake bbs?
Nice set of new wheels would set that off nicely ?
You thought about wheels? or just enjoying the go kart atm?
Ooooooh. Looking nice. I need to sort my front bumper out. Got scuffs all over. One from some woman reversed into my car. Could do with a nice spray up.
