Looks good mate. Welcome back. Really love the look of 197’s compared to the later 200 front ends. Bet they go well with the turbo’d motor upfront. Would love to drive one.
More from the show, can you tell i’m A closet Ford guy.... ? The want for a Ford Racing Puma is strong now. Ford people take car preparation to a new level. The amount of mirrors on the floor wouldn’t of looked out of place in Hugh Hefner’s bedroom.
Guys in the club really welcoming , had a...

Load of other amazing stuff there but ran out of time. Spoke to a guy with a Lotus Carlton who had owned it since new and 2 mins before he had been offered £100k for it!! Plus there is a Peugeot 306 Rallye with 309 miles on the clock. I could’ve spent all night walking round talking...
Just got back from prepping my dads car on display at the Classic Car Show, starting tomorrow at the NEC Birmingham. Brilliant to walk round before the hoards arrive tomorrow. Car looking great so i took a few pictures:
He has owned the car since 1994 and it has had a full respray about 10...
What is infinitely more annoying than Schmee is the fact that very occasionally there is a car he reviews that i think I would love to watch. Click on it and everytime i get as far as him finishing telling his audience his name with that spasticated grin on his face and i turn it off and...
No worries. It would be hard to extrapolate which part has made the biggest difference as i had them all installed together. In terms of the coilovers i would say that it has tied down the car, with it feeling tauter, brushing off bumps as well as the standard setup, whilst being in a...
For reference i have BC DR coilovers with the adjustale top mounts, PMS 19mm RARB and Mark’s @NorthloopCup Roll Centre correction Kit and i have to say the whole package transforms the car. I have 6kg front and 8kg rear springs as it is a road car first and foremost. The car feels totally...
Love the seats mate. Literally transformed the driving experience for me as the original seats are sat miles too high and don’t fit with the ethos of the car. Renault should’ve given the Cup buckets in the first place.
Hey matey. Sorry for the insanely late reply. Haven’t been on here for about a month or so. Won’t be attending this year i’m afraid as i’m working unfortunately ?
I’ve got DR’s on and they are set half way round front and back. Ride is harder than stock but so much more composed. I expect on full soft they would be better than standard.
I would give them a month before you sell mate personally.
Probably a proper noob question but what do people use to clean and polish up the plastic chrome? Stuff like the grilles on new minis as all it seems to do is mist over if I use something like AF Finale so was after some advice?
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Mine has just gone over 80k miles but agree with the above that it all depends on the upkeep and how people treat them. Mine gets pampered to within an inch of its life and I do sometimes think i’m clinically insane :tonguewink:
