Interesting reading a lot of the responses on here as quite a few ring very true. Had my cup 9 years and it's been turbo'd about 3 of those. Yes it's had its issues but the thing is just plain ridiculous fun. Hilarious power but still useable. Just the right amount for the chassis (235bhp)...
A place in Rubery not far from where I live. Called Russell's. Guy does a lot of classic mini stuff and it's an aladdins cave of materials in there. Really nice guy. I'll PM you his details if your interested. I had to get the Renaultsport stitching logo done elsewhere though as he doesn't...
Course I don't mind mate. £550 I paid. Guy is a legend and has done my rear cover and gear gaiter too.
Seats are ridiculous given the price. A little flex in them but they are Mega comfy on long journeys.
Few bits have come today so thought I'd post up. Retrimmed boot carpet and new leather gear gaiter to match the seats. Have put some anodised washer holes in so I can put a bootnet in:
Have also sprayed the bolts and bootnet hooks in mondial blue so just need to wait till morning to fit...
Absolutely love that interior mate. Exactly the same spec as I'm going for the my cup. Let me know what netting your going for with the rear bar as I'm after some myself
If I had a 200 that's exactly what I'd do to it.
That jamiefyd guy is a bit of a clown. Always pulls same face when any car accelerates. I'd bet he'd make that same wailing noice testing a 1.0ltr micra. A45 looks nice, I expect goes like hell. It costs a kings ransom, engine lacks character and is a bit chip shop owner done good for me. If...
Had to make a custom bracket with spacers. Belt fits nice and tight with no issues:
Might need to increase the spacer a little bit on the drivers side.
Clubsports are awesome imho. Good quality, light and very comfy. I've done 2 odd hours in one straight and still ok. Here's mine after being retrimmed in my cup:
I think he needs to be told when working on a car the workshop lights need to be on.... that looks utter gash. Totally ruined by the wing.
Looking at it the other way tho he could be driving a Kia Rio so fair play to the effort put into it. Just not my cup o tea. If everyone was the same...
I went from cup turinis to cup racer 2118's and noticed a bit of a difference. I also weighed them without before putting them on and they were 7.2kgs. The car does handle a lot better on 15" wheels imho and they just look "right" on a Clio.
