Ok mate cheers, just wondering as there has been a fair amount of flooding around here lately (i've not driven through any deep enough) but don't want any getting in.
I have driven one, they have grown on me a bit, still couldn't work out the difference between the models though. Asked the salesman if it was actually the RS, he then went round the front of the car to check himself haha.
Other than that, the interior is a fair bit better than old & the engine...
Good luck welding one back in unless you can find one that's been cut out with sleeves attached to the silencer.
Some have tried, I'm sure you could get it on, but not sure on how good of a job it'd be.
I got two tins of tyre spunk & a jack with mine. Not that it's much use without a spare.
P.S. If the centre silencer has been removed it'll be pretty obvious looking underneath.
Assuming that you mean you plan to remove the filter box (thus removing the filter).
Incredibly silly idea.
If you mean remove the housing and replace with an aftermarket induction (thus keeping filtration). Not such a silly idea, but can't see you gaining much other than noise.
I've never got this. People use their cars for everything for the most part.
Asking what you use it for seems a bit silly IMO (it's a car, it gets driven to places). I don't know many people that solely use a car for social. Nor just to get to work.
Remove the accoustic valve fittings & move it out the way. Take off battery cover & fuse cover & that'll give you a fair bit more room to operate.
Then it's just a case of removing the rubber cover from the back of the lamp & pulling the wire out of the rear of the bulb.
