The guide i put together actually makes the exhaust sit higher than a new bracket lol.. but if you are going with a shiny new one then just get a socket on it, yes its torque in the middle but should also be socket on the outer edge

Front just pulls off, back is a pig, needs the boot release all removed then to be removed from the behind as its glued.. leave the paint.. add some carbon love instead
Hi all, track car is rolling on nicely, have removed all the dash & sound deadning with the help of Ivan & tompons, Now i'm just left with a blank space & just after some ideas as to what i can use/how to mount the dials & switches etc & the best way to run the wiring to keep it tidy

Just seen the second one is bolt in :approve:, now how the f**k is santa gonna fit that in his cart lol.. will have to look into that around febuary time, gotta focus on getting the engine upto spec for the rolling road on the 31st of jan, Matt have you got any pics of your mates bolt in cage...

Vish, The print out from my PH2 still running the original cams, 172 4-1 manifold & i still had the power steering & aircon fitted

Matt-d, still gotta drive to the tracks & be used for the odd spirited drive so cant see the cage being needed, yes its safer & would improve cornering speed but the thing handles very well... but lacks the pick up which is what the weight saving is for.. time will tell.. funds would also...

Thanks for answering that for me mini-valver, So my best bet would be to go down the local scrappy & source any 1.2,1.4 etc second hand, low milage rack, would anything else be needed?

Well finnaly some progress occured on the track **** today, she has a roof over her head thanks to tompons, nice one for sorting that out mate!
Work will now be carried out in a nice thermal insulated warehouse ;)
So today was the first time its been driven since the 17's...
So i will have to get hold of a cup alt aswell... can the standard 172 one not be modified to fit?
And i take it when you guys say 1.2 16v is this the non power steering model, didnt think you could buy a non power steering 16v :S
I'm sure my friends one didn't used have it, took the piss outta it for that reason, maybe there all ment to have it from standard then :S... DCI FTW lol
Nice one franx, take it i could pick up a second hand unit from a scappy.. got any tips for this as i havent found as much info as i would like before proceeding.. also the local scrappy near me & ivan has loads of the 1.2 8v PH1, would the non power steering in those fit in? & with regards to...
