Yep flat shifters are the nuts until they go wrong). You only really need to heel n toe on the way down to stop it locking up, especially in the wet. You can with most not use the clutch on the way down as well but I wouldn't.
It does make a difference. When we were at Donny with the G50 it had a drop of VPower in it which we ran through from a test session. I can catagorically tell you it runs better on 102 supplied by Suneco as the control fuel.
Chip spot on as ever mate.
I know its unrelated to this but as they were mentioned I've had green stuff and they weren't even up to fast road on my c2 tbh.
Did 5 laps of brands for a laugh & they where smoking.
Would look alright with a proper grille on it.
I don't know if i'd be able to put the roof down tho. It becomes a whole different concept to me when the roofs off.
Unfortunatley from my experience it rarely works out that way. Money can buy you a lot including fresh parts (Tyres/brakes/bushes/boxes/mounts/engines/diffs) the list goes on, which will naturally perform better. Not only that you can also buy advice or have someone prep your car for each...
This man speaks truth.
Budgets tend not to incorporate shunts etc. One thing that would possibly put me off is the amount of novices it "could" attract.
As for race licences, contact your local school, ARDS isn't all that expensive to do.
Remember you will go through wheel bearings, bushes...
This could be good if it maintains good value as stock hatch does. I'd consider this possibly. I would of liked to have seen all the MK2's included. With regards to the 6 point cage, they're alright, but as previously noted I'd prefer more door protection if it was me getting binned.
I was offered one of these when I got my current 200. The paint worried me to be honest & wasn't keen on the wheels.
Yours looks very nice tho. It's one of those car I like for someone else :)
It's not cheap. IIRC The excess on our formula fords we ran was over 2k alone plus the premium in itself. It is relitively painless but with regards to costs, be prepared to get felt big time.
I would personally never compete without insurance, it's a dangerous game to play when it all goes...
