Found a video of my car at Anglesey last week. The car sorely needs a diff (or I need more tuition) because I had to rely on left foot braking to keep the front in check coming onto and going past the pit straight.
The 182 (iirc) which was filming the video had very good brakes!
Oh have you just advertised through that company/site? I thought it was sold on.
The price came as a shock but then I thought, how many of these will ever be openly for sale. And with the upgrades too. Good buy for someone :D
Chavvy. As. f**k.
I jest. I imagine it's an improvement over standard? Only saying that as I've never heard a particularly noteworthy one of these on the road.
I do love the boost noise you can hear through the revs
Not sure if you want my opinion as I've only properly tracked a 197. I've had a go of a 172 on track but that wasn't mine so I didn't go hell for leather.
They weigh more than the mk2, but I don't notice it once it's moving. The flatspot is a pain in the Arse when first pulling off but again...
A quick eBay says £4-5k
Early, sheddy, poverty spec 197s are creeping below £3k at the moment so a decent, well looked after cup should be able to fetch £4K upwards.
My crazy ex used to rant and rave about this. Saying you sleep worse, you get ill blah blah blah.
I tried sleeping with my phone away from me for a while and noticed no difference.
Hi and welcome.
Re the headlights, have a look on 197.net
A guy is making a proper, OEM looking hid unit with intergrated drls and drl indicators. If/when they're made, they'll make a cracking upgrade to a 200t
With people who say the regular phones are too small and the plus ones are just right...
Are the pluses your only device?
I see the appeal of the plus if you don't have a MacBook/iPad, but to have a massive phone and an iPad seems unnecessary to me.
Same as having an iPad mini. Too big to be...
Hi and welcome.
I'd advise against modifying it due to your age and your desire to sell it soonish.
If you really must change anything, I'd get the plastic bump strips and spoiler (if it has one) colour coded to the car. It'll neaten it up a bit.
I love that but I don't know why.
I normally hate those wheels on mk3s. Are they the same ones that everyone else fits?
It can't just be the larger profile tyre making them look different/better.
It does look amazing though I bet you're chuffed.
A slight drop would make that look bang on
Because having to click to view thumbnails is an inconvenience, and nobody likes a big all of text with some small images at the bottom, here's how to upload full size pictures using the 'upload an image' button
Click 'upload an image'
Choose which image you want and wait for it to load into...
The 197 is starting to take a back seat to daily duties so is being kept for weekends and a few track days a year.
I need to get more money to get a dedicated daily to keep the 197 for fun
Hi and welcome. That looks ace.
If you didn't know, that looks like a 182 'full fat' in forum speak. Which means it's a standard 182 with both cup packs fitted; the spoiler and splitter pack and the stiffer cup chassis pack.
Find a local detailer and they'll be able to wet sand and polish up...
The mk3s do handle better out of the box And feel more planted because of the size of them and the reworked suspension (do 182s have perfohubs up front)
But I've been out in 182s with just a set of coilovers and the way they felt and went round corners was astonishing. I genuinely felt one was...
