Basically after having enough of sore knees & back from washing the wheels & polishing the lower half of the car i decided to invest in the above, only cost £11.99 from screw fix, its a mechanics small work stall, great thing is its on wheels so can just roll round, well worth the money! would...
I've used it loads & combined with egp i cant fualt the the finish:cool: , maybe you applied to much? or didn't give it enough time to dry? i start at the top of the car & work my way down, by the the time i'm at the bottom i find the tops ready to be buffed off then start with egp
The dollars roughly half the pound at the mo i think right, so prob looking around £160-£200 for the whole lot.. not bad, i'll see about throwing one on the christmas list  ... prob just end up with socks though lol
Might start doing that then, shave off some time, dont mind in the summer but its gonna start getting cold/dark in a couple of weeks so dont wanna spend more time outside than i have too
heard a few ppl saying there doing this, i thought the car had to be dry as it would water down the lube? i wash/dry the car then, clay, wash, dry.. so if it doesn't need to be dried this would save me a bit of time ;)
Gd read, luv those seats, only thing i would say is that i saw a 197 at donny park a couple weeks ago & on the ren sport stand they had a very tasty looking spoiler for the 197, think they said was around £200 notes, but! it did finnish the rear end off very nicley & being a ren original part (...
My ones just as strange too, worked fine for months then one day it just stopped.. figured it may need reprograming... but then! a few weeks later i was sitting by the car playing with my keys & heard the central locking, the whole thing worked for about a week before dieing again lol, reckon i...
I've clayed before & been very happy with the megs bar:cool: , just thought i could save £23 & an 1-2 hours time if claying wasnt any beeter than srp, cant fualt clay, did my clio, 9 years of car wash's & lack of care put it in a slightly bad way but after ag & megs goodies its looking very gd:)
I got the better side of 75mph just before 6k on my 1.2 8v, reckon it could read 80 mph in 3rd gear, thing is tom tom was saying that i was doing 62mph when the speedo was reading 70mph down the motorway the other night so i wouldn't belive a genuine 80 mph out of 3rd :o
Finnaly got myself an autoglym bag:cool: , went to argos & got the whole kit for £39.99, £10 cheaper than halfords:S , any way, it came with a great little guide book which i had a gd read of & after flicking through it they reckon the best way to get your car looking spanking shiny you should...
Thanks for the feed back guys, not sure what to do, really wanna 172 but at the same time i dont know weather to wait another year & drive my insurance down even more
Budgieb17, i'm about 5 mins walk from mathew arnold school, i travel through chertsey (past snow n rock) everyday as i work...
Thinking of a selling towards the end of the year but have no idea what its worth as i've added bits n bobs to it, any input would be great guys, heres the spec -
T reg, 1.2 8v, service history, lots of reciepts since i've owned it, has had cambelt and new clutch in the last 6 months, passed...
^ ^ sounds gd.. but.. i do abit of car cleanning hear & there so decent functioning + the part looking bag is what i'm after, will prob try & blag a rep then
Rich do you know how much the bags normal cost on there own? really after one but spending £40 on the valet bag which comes with aload of stuff i'm never gonna use just doesn't seem worth it
Seems like all you guys are just doing the same as me then.. random boxs of stuff all over the place lol, so is it possible to buy just the AG bag on its own?
I'm currently using one of these black tubs from tesco at the mo for all my goodies & plan on getting summit a bit more for the part, i like the red auto glym bags, is it possible to pick up just the bags with out the goodies? what are you lot currently using?
James
Make sure its got the right amount of plugs on the back, i bought a ph1 172 set of clocks to put in my ph1 1.2 & the plugs are all diffrent so check before you buy, takes 30 mins tops to take the dash off the clio's so its worth checking instead of ending up with a new bed side display piece...
So are the ones i've tried to install the ph's 2 connectors then? the speedo i bought i thought was from a phase 1 172, is that not the case then? bottom line being will the clocks i've got above fit a mk2 ph2 172ff? as i'm not a big fan of the colcks that come with the ph2 172s
James
Another quick question, would this work with a mk2 ph2 ff 172? as i'm not a big fan of the standard basic look that they come standard with & since i hope to be getting one by the end of the year i'll keep them stored in the cupboard untill then :)
not cool :( ... so how come i've seen other phase 1's with these clocks? & theres no way they could be hard wired in? even if it ment just getting the speedo, rev fuel, temp guage & indicator lights to work?
James
Basically i've got a mk2 ph1 clio which i've slowly being doing bits n bobs on & the latest idea was to get a ph1 172 speedo ( white dials  ) so i've found one & began pulling the dash apart only to find the connectors are all diffrent:( .. I thought this would work as i've seen others...
